Busta Rhymes Arrested NYPD, Attorney Calls it ‘Pay Back’

Busta Rhymes has seen better days. This
weekend, after performing at New York’s AmsterJam
Festival in New York, Rhymes was arrested and charged with assault. In addition,
he was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

MTV reports indicate that the arrest
was made in connection with an incident that occurred August 12. Other
    reports claim Busta
assaulted a man for defacing his vehicle. The New York Post has posted reports
claiming a machete was found in Rhymes’ car. But nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

The arrest may also have a connection
    to the death of Israel
    Ramirez, Busta’s
    bodyguard who was shot and
    killed earlier this year.

    “I don’t know if
this is normally something he would even be arrested for,”
    the Daily News source
    said. “But his bouncer
was killed and he didn’t want to cooperate. This is our way of dealing with
    it.”

    The
North County Times also ran a report claiming it may have to do with the
killing. One of Busta’s attorneys voiced his opinion.

    “This is payback by
    the NYPD,”

    he said.

Rhymes was arraigned of the charge of
third degree murder Sunday morning. He has a scheduled court appearance October
    24.

While reports do seem unclear DX
    will keep you posted.
