Busta Goes Coast to Coast

Busta Rhymes made a lot of noise this year by cutting off his trademark hair. After shaving off the locs and releasing some records for the streets, Busta is ready to go all around the nation to show off his diversity.

MTV has just reported that Busta will release a bevy of new tracks for different geographical areas that cater to different styles of hip hop.

First up are his offerings to the south. After his recent guest spots with Slim Thug and D4L, Rhymes promised to keep the momentum flowing. His next mix-tape, Gangsta Grillz will be one full of dirty south flavor. It will be released with The Affiliates and will be packed with guest stars from the region. T.I., Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Bun B. and Luda will be there to assist him.

“It’s just for the South, and it’s all exclusives,” Rhymes says. “Ain’t nothing being done over somebody else’s beat. So it’s just like a whole ‘nother album I’m doing, feeding the street with the relentless bangers for the ‘hood.”

And the bangers don’t stop there.

Adding to his repertoire, the emcee hopes to bring another mix-tape to New York. In a collaboration with Clinton Sparks, he will also release New Crack City.

So, how will that sound? Be ready for a New York-inspired Busta on that one.
“I’m specifically making joints to accommodate the area with the sound they prefer when they listen to music.”

With a new album, The Big Bang in the works and due in March, one would think he’s too busy to release one mix-tape. However, the Flip-Mode Squad leader will release two in one month.

“Clinton Sparks and the Gangsta Grillz are both gonna come this month.” he promised.

Oh, but that’s not all. DJ Green Lantern is also readying a Busta Rhymes mix-tape. That one will come out next month to start the new year.
