Bun B may now officially be a Swiftie after meeting Taylor Swift and having quite the pleasant interaction.

The run-in went down at a private Uno game curated by Questlove in New York City on Tuesday (July 11). The event included cannabis-infused food and clearly an elite invite list that had even an OG fanning out.

Taking to Instagram the next day, the UGK rapper shared details of meeting the superstar singer and compared her aura to that of Barack Obama and Bun’s fellow Houston native Beyoncé.

“About last night..got a call in the middle of dinner to meet Matt from @astorclubnyc at an Uno game,” Bun captioned a photo of himself and Swift. “Random. Turns out it’s @questlove party with food from cannabis chef/educator @thechefnikki which was amazing.

“Quest calls @jazzbeezy who I hadn’t sent in years. On my way out he says ‘I have to have a picture with you and Taylor.’ Who turns out to be THE Taylor. As in @taylorswift who couldn’t have been more kind and personable. I’ve only ever met 2 other people who make you feel this seen and heard in an interaction before and that’s @barackobama and @beyonce.”

Bun concluded his story with one important question: “My question is does this make me a Swiftie?”

Bun B Meets Taylor Swift

Bun B isn’t the only Swiftie in the Hip Hop community, though. Flavor Flav is unabashed in his love for the “Karma” singer as well – and even wore a shirt with her lyrics to the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards earlier this year.

Upon showing it off during an interview with iHeart, Flav proudly copped to being a Swiftie “Always love Taylor Swift’s music, you know what I’m saying,” he told the host. “[I’m a Swiftie] as you can tell! I’m here to support her! I’m here to support my girl.”

Flav then broke out his own rendition of “Bad Blood” to prove his fandom. “I ain’t got no bad blood today! I got the good blood, you know what I’m saying!” he laughed. “Word up! But yeah, I wanna meet her, too. One day.”

And his wish came true, posing for a selfie with the superstar singer later that night.

In early June, the Public Enemy co-founder stopped by Detroit’s Ford Field for the first of two shows Swift was performing at the venue as part of her Eras Tour, and he uploaded video footage on Twitter of himself connecting with his fellow Swifties.

In the clip, Flav, donning a large amount of colorful bracelets, can be seen swapping them with fans and posing to take a few pictures. He even made a request on Twitter for one fan to make custom ones for him so he can wear them during her next tour stop. “Make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it,” he tweeted.
