Bun B & Wife’s Armed Robber Sentenced To 40 Years In Prison

Bun B‘s would-be robber has received a harsh sentence for his April 2019 attempted home invasion of the UGK rapper’s Houston home.

ABC 13 is reporting that Demonte Jackson was sentenced to 40 years in prison on Friday (June 7) for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized crime using and exhibiting a deadly weapon.

Jackson pleaded guilty to the felony charges. He will be eligible for parole in 20 years.

Jackson claimed to be suffering from mental health issues, and had his grandmother testifying to the same on his behalf.

His attorney also claimed that he would be getting mental health treatment while behind bars.

Two days ago, Bun B took the stand and spoke about the ordeal, saying it “still affects our life,” referring to his longtime wife, who was also at home at the time of the incident.

The Texas rapper testified for around 20 minutes during the sentencing hearing.

Bun B opened up about the emotional impact that the robbery had on his wife Angela “Queenie” Walls, saying: “This was an entirely new traumatizing incident. This is something we still deal with to this day.

“There are times when she gets closed off. She can’t communicate, and I just get so angry all over again because she didn’t deserve this. She didn’t ask for this,” he continued while holding back tears.

The rap veteran added that his wife never stepped foot in the house again after leaving the following day, as she was so traumatized by the robbery.

Bun B also recounted the events of the night where his wife answered the door thinking it was a delivery driver but was instead greeted by a masked robber. He detailed how he heard the robbery from a different floor in the house, and that Jackson was holding a gun to his wife’s head.

Bun then said that upon hearing the commotion, he grabbed his gun but his wife told him: “Don’t come downstairs. He’s going to kill me.”

He added: “She was very panicked. She was borderline hysterical. She just did not want me to go out that door and face the person with the gun.”

By this time, Jackson had made his way to the garage and was sitting in their car when Bun B fired several shots at the intruder, with one hitting him in the shoulder.

The two continued to exchange gunshots before fighting on the floor of the garage, with Jackson managing to escape.

Bun explained that he chased after Jackson and caught up to him before taking off his mask: “I wanted to know who that was behind the mask. I wanted to know if this was someone I knew personally or someone that knew someone I knew personally. Just the idea of seeing my wife in this state, I wanted to know who had done this to her.”

    1. Al that crying and snitch on the stand worked huh 😂 😂 bet all the people who got robbed bc of his music didnt cry like pussies

      1. Wow, I’d expect this shit ten years ago but people are more mad about Bun B “snitching” than a dumbass breaking into a home and holding a gun to a woman’s neck, hopping he wouldn’t be home so he could rob the place and steal his car. Next time you have a thought do the world a favor and STFU

      2. Welcome to the world where defund the police and light sentences came as a result of crime being looked at as a way of living 😂 now bc the crime is against a black person suddenly we need upstanding laws held right

Not to mention his music sterotypes this as cool

      3. The heavy sentence had nothing to do with bun’s race. Texas’ judicial system has always been extremely harsh. Y’all weird white boys need to get off the hip hop blogs sometime and actually try the outside world for a change.

      4. so if somebody did something to ur wife u wouldnt snitch if she never experienced anything like that b4 shows what kinda of man u is

    2. Lol @ u in prison 40yrs bc Bun B testified against u at ur sentencing 😹😹 i cud tell Bun B was a G when he supported bernie sanders who wants to steal all ur money & give it to lazy poor people 😹😹 fukin bun b smh

    3. Bun Bitch snitched and cried like a little girl. I guess we have a double standard for snitching, how come Bun Bitch ain’t getting the 6ix9ine treatment from other artists and public? I rest my case.

      1. Because dumb fuck, 6ix9ine snitched to avoid jail time, Bun only took the stand to make sure, in DEFENSE of his WIFE, the plain as day criminal, didn’t get a light sentance. Criminal wanted sympathy for the obvious shit he was going to do and Bun said Fuck that.

    4. Some of you lot are absolutely beyond brain damage. Believe it or not, having your wife held up at gunpoint IS going to cause some trauma. Just the same it would with any of you little keyboard warriors. Testifying in defence of your own family is wrong but nobody has anything to say about armed robbery? This is why there’s so many eyerolls when you start preaching black lives matter but come out with nonsense like I’m seeing in this comments sections.

    5. killl yo self lame
this MAN grabbed the gat while the mother of his bloodline had a gun to her head, a minute later shot the fool, fought with him on the ground & no doubt would of ended him if he didnt get away. thats more gangs ter and being a MAN then you can ever wish to achieve.

      diee slow internet coward
      llpc
      ugk4life

    6. Now it’s ok because it was his wife huh this shit is hilarious this is why I don’t care about the street rules bunch of fake tough guy’s who Wil snitch when it gets serious and I don’t wanna hear about it being his wife

    7. Yall are dumb…….bun spoke at dudes sentencing, he pled Guilty there wasnt even a trial……that’s completely different than snitching.

    8. U can judge this site accurately by the level of ignorance in the comments.

    9. WTF is everyone spewing in these comments? It says clear as day in the article Bun actually fought the man (exchanging gunshots and chasing him down to unmask him). That’s pretty badass not sure how people are clowning him.

Obviously police would show up to an incident like that and if he doesn’t testify then the case can’t really move forward…what else should he do? Should an OG rich af rapper start vigilante justice at this point in his life/career?

The internet just keeps getting weirder…
