Bow Wow has reminded fans of his music success after he was snubbed from Billboard and VIBE‘s 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time list.

The 35-year-old hopped on Twitter on Sunday (February 12) to speak his mind over the viral list, and he made it clear he didn’t appreciate his exclusion considering what he’s achieved in his career.

He shared a post that listed some of his accolades that included seven No. 1 rap hits, five Top 10 rap and R&B hits and three Top 10 pop hits and No. 1 R&B hits, respectively.

There was also a photo included of the group of rappers with the most No. 1 singles, with Bow Wow coming in tied with 50 Cent at seven a piece.

“Aye i aint make the top 50 either,” Bow Wow wrote. “Id rather take whats ‘REAL’ then for a fake maf**** in an office to give they opinion on who top 50.”

He later returned with another tweet and claimed he took no offense to his snub after a fan asked if he was really a Top 50 rapper, writing: “I took no offense not making that list. I always said im not a rapper i am an entertainer. I dont like to be box’d in.”

Bow Wow was a force to be reckoned with in the early 2000s as he helped bring a younger demographic into the Hip Hop scene. He has three platinum albums and sold over 10 million copies and 14 million digital assets worldwide. In total, Bow Weezy has 12 Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Billboard and VIBE‘s 50 GOAT rappers list has gotten a response from a lot of other rappers over the last few weeks. Ja Rule was one of the first to take to Twitter and voice his opinion on his own snub.

“There ain’t 50 rappers dead, alive or waiting to be born better than me… #ICONN #Vibes,” he tweeted on Thursday (February 9). “@billboard congrats to everyone on the list well deserved but check my resume… #ICONN #Vibes.”

Ice Cube was more dismissive with his take on the list and claimed the panel that made the selection doesn’t know about the culture even though he was included at No. 18 on the list.

“Who?” Cube asked rhetorically when the reporter mentioned Billboard‘s list. “I don’t fuck with Billboard or the editor. Billboard ain’t Hip Hop so their opinion don’t matter. So who gives a fuck?”

Cube added that his Mount Westmore contemporary Too $hort not being included on the list was definitely an undeserved snub.

“It’s an irrelevant list,” he continued. “It’s like assholes: everybody got one and they all stink.”

Billboard’s top 10 rappers on the list included JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, 2Pac, Eminem, The Notorious B.I.G., Lil Wayne, Drake, Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj, in that order.
