Boosie Badazz Offers Sobering Perspective On Rap Beef: ‘Everyone Not Gon’ See It That Way’

Boosie Badazz is not enjoying the rap beef brewing in the industry as many spectators are, as he sees the potential for it to become fatal.

In a series of posts to Twitter/X on Friday (April 12), Boosie offered a sobering perspective as he noted that he’s seen many rap beefs end in death in his time.

“EVERYBODY GASSING UP RAP BEEF SMH ALL EXCITED SAYING THIS HIP HOP! WELL EVERYONE N THE CREW NOT GO SEE IT THAT WAY,” he began. “N WHEN IT POP OFF ‘IT REALLY GOES DOWN.’ SO WHEN SOMEONE FROM ONE OF THESE CREWS DIE,DONT SAY THEY STUPID SMH GO SUPPORT THEM N COURT LIKE YALL SUPPORTED THE RAP BEEF. HOW WOULD U FEEL IF YOUR FAMILY MEMBER DIED CAUSE OF HIP HOP RAP BEEF!

“IM FROM LOUISIANA EVERY RAP BEEF IVE SEEN PEOPLE DIE YALL SO HAPPY ABOUT WHO GO WIN R LOSE BUT A MAMA GO LOSE HER SON n ain’t none of yall going to the funeral smh”

Some followers responded and made note that the beefs that are brewing right now – Drake with Kendrick Lamar (and possibly more), Quavo with Chris Brown – are not the type to end in violence, but Boosie feels otherwise.

“THE TRUTH HURTS,” he said in a follow-up post. “N YALL RESPONSE IS THIS DRAKE, KENDRICK, JCOLE , ASAP , QUAVO , CHRIS BROWN “BOOSIE THEM R THEY PEOPLE AINT LIKE THAT smh OK YALL KEEP THANKING THAT‼️JUDGING N BOOK BY ITS COVER A GET YOU PUT UNDER A COVER.”

Kendrick Lamar kicked the brewing beef off last month when he dissed both Drake and J. Cole on his verse off Metro Boomin and Future’s We Don’t Trust You album.

Cole then fired back – but ultimately rescinded it. And while Drizzy has yet to reply on wax, he’s seemingly continued to get shots from others including A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd and Future.

All three appeared to let off subs aimed at the OVO superstar on We Still Don’t Trust You, a second collab album from Metro and Future that was released on Friday (April 12).

The album even features an unexpected guest verse from J. Cole, who many had viewed as Drizzy’s most powerful ally.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown and Quavo have been going at it on wax over Karrueche Tran, who the latter had a fling with many years after she dated Chris in the early 2010s.

    1. Sad when Boosie is the voice of reason. But most of these so called fans see these rappers as zoo animals or some shit for their entertainment. Talking about battle rapping is part of the culture and don’t even know what the fuck they’re talking about. Never in the history of hip hop has jumping out the window, especially this late in all of their careers after being on some friendly shit, been part of the culture. ASAP Rocky and Drake have reason to beef. There’s something there to beef about, but even that’s corny when dude has babies with Rihanna now, so Drake needs to let it go. Also, they have one of the biggest songs of the last decade together. The rest of that shit is stupid and shouldn’t be happening outside of the WWE shit that’s been promoted and cultivated ever since that lame 50 versus Kanye “battle.”

      1. You and Boosie don’t know what yall talking about. First of all, this isn’t beef. You sit up here talking about people too late in they career to battle. Real lyricists don’t put a age on showing and proving their lyrical prowess. Yall acting like this Big and Pac 2.0. It ain’t that serious.

    2. Omg.. he needs to STOP. No disrespect to Boosie but what was going on with Kendrick and Jcole and Drake Isn’t BEEF its competition! It’s what hiphop was built off of. He’s right though. It’s not the 80s or 90s and too many ppl have brought the streets into the culture and that’s a reflection of why this genre is sooo IMMATURE and CORNY NOW. JCOLE didn’t have any reason to apologize because he’s first response was to prove who’s BETTER not kill anybody. It’s funny how ppl TRIED TO COMPARE this to Pac Vs Biggie which was actual street beef.. These guys are Lyricists. BARS. If you don’t understand that and respect the roots of rap which competition was there from rappers, DJS, Bboys and graffiti artists!

      1. Drake and Future are lyricists now? You sound stupid as fuck. You just want to see some messy dissing that these white executives have sanctioned, nothing more, nothing less. Some your mama jokes, which is the essence of Pusha T’s diss against Drake. Shit had nothing to do with lyricism or good music or anything. It was literally gossiping on record, just like this ignorant shit now. If they wanted to go at each other because they didn’t rock with each other, do it 14 years ago when they all were on the come up. Even after they all got success, do this ten years ago in 2013. It’s stupid as shit now. Same shit I said when Ma$e dissed Cam’Ron a few years ago, and they actually had personal issues with each other, but it was stupid when they’re middle aged men, which all of these rappers are now.

    3. Rico Wade passed away, and this site doesn’t even have the news up yet, but some fake beef involving his cousin he put on, and they’re all over it in five seconds. SMH.
