Boosie Badazz has curbed his weed habits and has since seen the benefits, which include a better temper.

Taking to his Instagram Story on Saturday (November 18), the Baton Rouge native was discussing Snoop Dogg’s announcement he was quitting smoke – though that was later revealed to be a marketing ploy. Boosie, however, really did stop smoking, and he’s fully in support of whoever else wants to join him.

Over the weekend, Snoop made headlines by announcing that “after much consideration [and] conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke.”

Before the rapper shared that his promise to go smokeless was a PR stunt, at least a few people assumed otherwise. Meek Mill, for one, claimed that he was going to follow Snoop’s lead and give up all forms of smoking.

“Ima go to Dubai and completely stop smoking,” he wrote on social media. “ima follow snoop, my doctor said I got a lil bit emphysema in a chest if I don’t stop smoking it cuts my lifeline in half, I was addicted to the nicotine and this new weed got too many chemicals and too risky to play with my mental!”

But on Monday (November 20), Tha Doggfather shared that his pledge referred to literal smoke — as in, from a fire. The whole thing was revealed to be an ad for a limited edition collaboration with Solo Stove, a brand of smokeless fire pits.

Boosie was answering a question from the hosts about whether he would ever do a podcast with his frequent rhyme partner Webbie. He said that he’d only do it if he could be paid millions of dollars.

“Ain’t that kind of money in it,” co-host Charlamagne Tha God said, implying that being paid millions for a podcast was an unrealistic goal.

Boosie replied by talking about his VladTV appearances. “Well I don’t want [a podcast with Webbie],” he said. “I could make half a million with Vlad every year, man. I don’t really need [podcast money]. Vlad help me out a lot more.”

Charlamagne checked one more time to confirm the $500,000 figure, to which Boosie Badazz replied: “Close to it.”
