Las Vegas, NV

Boosie Badazz has paid tribute to 2Pac while visiting the site of his murder in Las Vegas.

The Baton Rouge rapper took a moment to sign his signature on numerous memorial sites before showing his followers the exact street corner where ‘Pac was gunned down in September 1996.

“On the scene where Pac got shot,” Boosie said in a video shared to his Instagram. “This where 2Pac got shot right here. Rest up muthafucka. 2Pac got hit right here, the car pulled over right up there. ‘Pac, love that n-gga.”

“T.I.P #2PAC U WAS EVERYTHING TO ME N MY NIGGA SALUTE,” he added in the caption.

This is far from the first time Boosie Badazz has gone to bat for the late 2Pac. Following an extensive interview T-Pain did with Akademiks last July, Boosie came for the “Buy U a Drank” crooner after he said ‘Pac likely wouldn’t have been able to lyrically keep up with today’s rappers.

“‘Pac would’ve gotten killed sooner [if social media existed] and he would’ve gotten his ass ate the fuck up lyrically,” T-Pain argued, to which Ak replied: “Whoa, whoa, whoa. What!?”

T-Pain continued: “Lyricism wise, ‘Pac would’ve got ridiculously murdered. Bro, ‘Pac was a crazy lyricist in our time because ain’t nobody else have no platform … If the platforms would’ve been what they are now, ‘Pac would’ve been ate the fuck up […] I’m just saying what we look at as ‘Pac’s greatest lyrics right is peanuts to what we hear today.”

The controversial comments caused Boosie Badazz to react on social media, writing that he thinks the lyricism of these past few years wouldn’t even be in the same league as ‘Pac’s.

“Why PAC still hittin n yo favorite lyricist Not?” Boosie wrote on Twitter. “I don’t like when y’all shit on 2Pac. If he was living YALL wouldn’t step r talk about PAC n then death row n-ggas!”

Boosie continued his rant by mentioning T-Pain directly.

“2Pac was a great lyricist,” he wrote. “U probably wouldn’t understand him if u never been through the struggles that this world brings! @TPAIN I disagree the lyrics n songs these days last a couple years n there gone because they don’t have meaning. The lyrics don’t touch your heart.”

In other Boosie news, the “Wipe It Down” rapper recently announced he’s dropping a new album boldly titled Best Album of 2023 on February 14.

One project that is no longer happening, however, is his collaborative effort with T.I. In an interview with VladTV earlier this week, Boosie revealed he has scrapped the album after the Grand Hustle general admitted to once snitching on his dead cousin.

“No [that album is not coming out] because it ruined everything,” Boosie said. “I woke up with my muthafuckin’ phone, everything full. My real fans like, ‘Boosie you the last one left.’ They like, ‘You cannot put this album out.’ My uncle, OG n-gga call me … ‘N-gga that album ain’t coming out.’”
