Cash Money Records co-founder Bryan “Birdman” Williams revealed recently his plants to release a film titled Like Father, Like Son.
The film, which stars both Birdman and Lil Wayne, features the same title as their 2006 collaboration album.
Birdman revealed the news backstage at New York’s Power 105.1 Powerhouse concert this week [click to watch] to radio personalities Ed Lover and Free.
“Me and Wayne just finished this movie – Like Father, Like Son – that’s coming out in June and the album coming out at the same
time,” he said. “That’s what we do. Just me being myself. I just wanted
to, it’s something we wanted to fund. It’s ours.“
The movie will be about growing up in New Orleans. “So, it’s really what it is, like father,
like son,” Birdman added. “Normal day growing up in New Orleans,
you know. Hood rich.”
