Big Sean Speaks About Eminem’s Involvement On “Hall Of Fame,” Kanye’s Baby North

Big Sean’s sophomore album Hall of Fame is one of 2013’s most anticipated releases.

Ever since the G.O.O.D. Music rapper announced that Detroit’s own Eminem would be involved with the project everyone has been scrambling for details. Sean recently sat down with Sway Calloway of Shade 45 as he talked about Em’s involvement and even what he said about the album’s impact on the younger Detroit representer.

“We talked for like three hours (in the studio) before we played any music,” said Sean regarding the studio session. “Then he was like alright, I guess I’ve got time to hear a couple songs… And then when it was all said and done he was like, ‘I’ve never been so impressed or surprised about an album. This one is gonna be big for you.’”

When asked if he had spoken to Kanye since the birth of his baby, North West, Big Sean said that he had indeed talked to the G.O.O.D. Music head and wished him well. Sean defended the name of the baby as well.

“People try and talk shit about that name,” he said. “I feel like if I met a pretty girl and came up to me and said, ‘Hi my name is North,’ I be like, ‘Oh, shit, what’s up?'”

Big Sean also said that he might have a son in the future with his current girlfriend, Naya Rivera.

    1. “He was like, ‘Ive never been so impressed or surprised about an album’. ”

now he’s just making shit up.

    2. Big Sean also said that he might have a son in the future with his current girlfriend, Naya Rivera…o_0 so!!!!

    3. With all the talking Sean’s done about this album, it better do at least 475,000 1st week instead of the 80k it will do.

    4. Big Sean’s not the worst, I mean if Nas can collaborate with Sean, than Em can too. Em and Nas are both light years beyond Sean. But I’m hoping the Em/Sean collab will wind up on Sean’s album and not Em’s.

    5. Oh and I don’t think Sean’s album will be big. I think he’ll do more than the 80K plus he did on his first album. I’m thinking around 120-140K. 150K tops.

      1. no, sir, you’re the faggot for puttin that much emphasis on sales. does anyone care how much the best albums sold in a week?

      2. It was only in response to the other posts. You can’t expect him to do several hundred thousand, it’s not realistic.

Than you jumped on me like a little bitch, as is usual for douche bags on this site.

    6. haha good to know big seans technique for trying out girl baby names.

I would have the same reaction sean, the same reaction.

    7. This nigga gonna bomb with 60k sales most opening weekend. Eminem’s pop and Big Sean is an ok rapper at best.

      1. Eminem is pop. He’s always been pop but then decided to show it off in 2010 with Love the Way you Lie and that Pink song. The only hiphop track was that lil wayne track and even then, Wayne murdered Eminem.

      2. That’s bullshit. Eminem is hip-hop. Recovery is a hip-hop album. Wayne got murdered by Eminem in No Love. BTW, Wayne is the pop artist.

      3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA That’s such a retarded thing to say. Eminem is pop? Eminem is rap son. He has done collab w/ Rihanna who is Hip-Hop/R&B. Don’t hate on a legend.

      4. eminem was rap until 2010 but there is no denying that recovery wasnt a very pop type of album, half of the songs on it were made for the radio

      5. “eminem was rap until 2010”

So you’re telling me this verse off a westwood freestyle is pop than?

“I’m like a white Michael Vick, psycho enough to stick
Michael J. Fox in a microwave with a Rott
I might make a little Aliz with a side of NyQuil
And ride a motorcycle bike right through the side of my high school
Satan’s disciple with a sniper rifle and a knife and a white diaper
Liable to shit on you while I snipe you
So dope he gets off opiates, what an appropriate
Way to start off his day; he may just smart off to Dre
He may be hard to contain cause his rage is so hard to gauge
See, Hannibal ate his face and met Jason gnawed off his leg
Amazing hard-on for razors and blades and anything sharp
Even poisonous darts; it all plays a major part of his game
Holy water won’t ward him off, crucifixes won’t do the trick
He’s so sick, it’s ridiculous; sawed the crazy part off his brain
He’s still insane, why’s there bloodstains on his carpet, mane
There’s some crazy shit going on in Shady’s apartment again”

      6. btw, that verse is from 2010… Dumbass

Then there was BME in 2011, that wasn’t rap?

People who hate on Em are retards I swear

      7. Eminem has always been pop influenced. ‘I’m slim shady the real slim shady…’. Pop music is always about catchy chorus’s and simple lyrics, what most of his singles are. The rest of his album is where he shows his skill (old ones). Also a collaboration project doesn’t mean he is hip-hop. They were just showing off their skill smh.

      8. The Real Slim Shady hook was mocking pop… he either said it himself or wrote it in his book I can’t remember which. Pop-influenced since 2009 I guess, but Relapse and HTS only have a couple pop tracks.

      9. Damn can Eminem be allowed to grow the fuck up? I mean seriously as much as I would love to hear another album from him like MMLP, it would just make him look like a hypocrit. He in his 40s he cant keep rapping about killing Kim, cutting off dogs heads and stuffing them in mailboxes, and shit like that no more. He too old for that shit… Big Sean aint my favorite rapper but he got bars when he not on that Drake autotune shit. But if you say Eminem not hip hop then watch Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap.

    8. HUGE em fan right here but I gotta say hes so casual and extra generous towards new artists nowadays… He thinks anyone that has somewhat of an audience is dope..anyways good to hear the collab is on big seans and not this clown sean on ems big upcoming secret lp

      1. You choose a group of wack, untalented pop artists over a legendary MC like Eminem. Obviously a dumb kid.

      2. eminem is so soft now, i think he just doesnt want to diss or beef with anyone thats a possible threat anymore.

    10. Eminem fell the FUCK off! WTF? Never been so impressed about an album? I mean no disrespect to Sean – but WHAT THE FUCK??????

    11. when I worked with Lil Wayne on I Am Not a Human Being II, I asked him: yo Weezy why you didnt sign Big Sean to YMCMB, he a cool dude and he is wasting his talent on GOOD muzik. da answer shocked me. “cause he a fag (laughs scabrously)”… Weezy told me Eminem’s famous singe “Stan” is about Big Sean and Charles Hamilton. dey were a gay teenage couple and dey were fanboys of Eminem, wrote him letters, etc… dey even masturbated on ‘The Slim Shady LP’… deze niggaz are disgusting faggots. no wonder Sean is on GOOD. swag

      1. its funny that wayne would say that when hes the one kissing birdman. sounds like some fag shit to me. thats why he keeps them dreads.

      1. Big Sean is an ok rapper but not as good as Eminem. Wayne personifies pure wack pop.
