Big Boi might be a musical juggernaut but he’s no stranger to the world of film and television, and he’s now gearing up to become the face of a new show.

Hulu has tapped the OutKast rapper for a new unscripted series titled Big RV Remix which is scheduled to premiere on July 21. The show will feature Big Boi and his business partner Janice Faison as hosts.

The pair owns Celebrity Trailers, a company that specializes in extravagant and luxurious do-overs for large vehicles. The upcoming series will follow the pair as they help their clients reimagine their transport devices.

“From trailers and campers to sprinters and school buses – if it has wheels, Big Boi and Janice are ready to make their clients’ vehicle renovation dreams come true,” the show’s official summary reads.

The show’s format is reminiscent of Pimp My Ride, which was hosted by another prominent figure in Hip Hop, Xzibit. The West Coast rapper would take beat-up rides and givethem over-the-top transformations. Produced by MTV, the show ran for six seasons and was among the network’s most popular creations.

With Big Boi now taking on the role of the rapper/host who brings lavish visions to fruition, the tradition carries on. Though the Atlanta spitter has previously appeared on television shows such as Law & Order, Animals and Celebrity Family Feud, he has never hosted a series before.

Ever since OutKast went on hiatus in 2006, he has released music as a solo artist as well as in collaboration with other artists. His most recent full-length release was a crossover with Organized Noize producer/singer Sleepy Brown titled The Big Sleepover.

Though new music from OutKast has never been ruled out by the two members, Brown did recently shut down the possibility: “[André 3000] is on a whole nother journey and he’s, you know, doing something. But me and Big [Boi] are still doing tours and stuff like that.
