Sara Stokes is preparing to sue BET after she filmed From The Bottom Up for the network, TMZ reports.
Da Band singer was approached by BET to appear on From The Bottom Up, a show executive produced by Queen Latifah that depicts the stories of five women. Stokes, who is in jail for getting into a fight with her husband, says that she was promised she could tell her side of a narrative that includes a rise to fame after Making The Band 2 and then her troubles with the law.
Instead, Stokes claims, the show depicted her as a “man-beater” and she is planning to bring action against BET Networks. From The Bottom Up aired on Centric, a channel owned by BET that is advertised as “The First Network Designed For Black Women.”

Her 15 seconds BEEN up! FOH. lol
@ShlomiRapper
BET is no longer black owned so they can depict a person using any stereotypical narrative they wish just like the other networks do.
And WHO sold it to them, SMART GUY?! Exactly! Everybody has a price. If the original owner cared then he/she wouldn’t have sold it now would they?
point missed
what does that have to do with being black owned or not?
Might as well get something cause as you know devils have a way of taking or ruining it
