Benzino is apparently sick and tired of people in the LGBTQ+ community coming on to him and has issued a PSA to leave him alone.
On Friday (March 31), the former Made Men rapper took to Twitter to denounce anyone flirting with him who doesn’t identify as a heterosexual woman. While he noted he “respected” the community, he added that he wasn’t flattered because he himself is not part of it.

“Attention to all in the LGBTQ, abcd!!!” Benzino began in the since-deleted series of tweets. “I respect y’all’s movement and your decision to be who you want to be BUT STOP THE WEIRD SHIT WITH THE COMMENTS AND FLIRTING. I’M NOT FUCKING FLATTERED BECAUSE I’M NOT GAY!! RESPECT THAT SHIT AS I RESPECT WHO YOU ARE!!”
After apparently being called out for lying, the former Love & Hip-Hop star came with receipts of a few of the comments he’s gotten. “Wtf I gotta lie to y’all for? Yall weird asf!” he wrote. “There’s WAY more but twitter only allows 4 pics at a time.”

He then doubled down on his statements. “Fuck y’all mad at me for?? Cause I ain’t wit that shit?” he asked. “I know it ain’t all gays & not all gay men are disrespectful but it’s a lot who are, it’s been going on for awhile. I don’t wanna see that on my timeline. Just respect that. I’m straight, and idgaf about none y’all comments.”

In 2022, a trans woman named Shauna Brooks alleged that she’d been texting and chatting with Benzino and that he wanted to engage in an intimate relationship with her. While also alleging she’d turned him down, she leaked audio of purported phone calls with him to back up her claims.
For his part, Benzino denied any involvement and was adamant that he was a straight man.

“You never want to go through people thinking that you’re gay when you’re not,” he said in an April 2022 interview with The Danza Project. “Like, I just, and people are like ‘Well if it ain’t true then you should…’ Man, fuck all thizzat. Like you don’t want to be accused of being gay. I just don’t want that, bro.”
He continued: “Like, I take that serious, I do get upset about that. Like get on the internet, none of that’s bothering me no more but, like, to think that somebody really thinks or really thought that I really hooked up with Shauna, like, bothers the fuck out of me. Straight up.”
In another recent PSA, Benzino took a few shots at DJ Khaled and Funk Flex because he believes they both used him to get famous.

“It’s funny how when I owned the Source & EP’d the Source Awards I gave a lot these guys who are successful a major platform & some even a bag, but when I fell, they all act like they don’t me, I just smile how they big ‘celebrities’ now, back then needed my platform & helped them,” he wrote in a lengthy post on Twitter in December.
“I remember Dj Khalid dying to dj the Source Awards & to be in the magazine & I made it happen, or Kevin Hart wanting to host & I made it happen,” Benzino continued. “Funk master Flex another 1, I let him Dj, Now these n-ggas act like I’m a stranger, people don’t gaf, they use u with no reciprocation.”
