B.G. Announces First Single To Feature Hot Boys

Earlier this week, Florida rapper Smitty released the song to deejays and through his Myspace titled “Keep It 100.” [click to listen] Sources told HipHopDX that the song’s music was copyrighted to Atlantic Records, as an upcoming track on B.G.‘s upcoming major label return Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood.

Representatives from B.G.‘s Chopper City Records spoke to HipHopDX this afternoon to confirm this, saying, “Smitty only had the two-track version of the song. We asked him to remove the song and cease-and-desist promoting it, and his camp was very cooperative.

Perhaps on a bigger note, B.G.‘s first single was announced as a reunion with The Hot Boys, the group consisting of Juvenile, Turk and Lil Wayne that was instrumental in B.G.‘s mainstream success nearly a decade ago. The record is titled “Ya Heard Me,” and is produced by Cool & Dre. “This record is a classic,” said the label representative.

Although Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood has yet to be assigned a release date, the album is expected within the next three months. “We’re in the final stages of mixing it right now,” the source said.
