Eric Chavis, a 23-year-old aspiring rapper who goes by the name of Thot King, has been arrested for making child pornography out of his Columbus, Ohio apartment, according to 10TV.
The publication reports that raids took place yesterday morning (August 20) at two different locations: one at 714 Lanreco Boulevard in Lancaster and one at 2996 Barclay Square in Columbus just after 7:00 am.
The case involves a minor allegedly being videotaped performing sexual acts.
The investigation began back in April 2015, when the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force came into contact with the victim after a prostitution sting.
The victim claims that Chavis promised to make her a star in one of his videos when she was just 16-years-old. However, when she arrived at his Columbus apartment, she was given alcohol and marijuana and subsequently participated in several videos where she was nude or partially nude.
The videos were then distributed to online social networks, pornographic websites, as well as for sale on DVD. The victim told investigators that when she asked Chavis to remove the videos, he asked for sexual favors in exchange.
Chavis faces two counts of distribution of child pornography. If convicted, he could face between 15 and 30 years in prison.
