A$AP Rocky was back in L.A. this week for his A$AP Relli assault case, and security footage shown in court allegedly shows the rapper fleeing the scene after firing off some gunshots.
On Monday (November 20), Rocky (born Rakim Mayers) attended a hearing for his case against his former friend stemming from a 2021 shootout following a disagreement outside Hollywood’s The W hotel.

According to Rolling Stone, an LAPD detective testified that Rocky indeed fired a pair of shots at Relli (born Tyrell Ephron) in November 2021.
Security footage pieced together from nearby Los Angeles BLVD parking garages appeared to show a firearm in A$AP Rocky’s possession while getting into an altercation and then scurrying along to flee around the block by himself.

The first clips were muted while the final video shown in court included sound as two gunshot pops can be heard in the area around 10 p.m. PT on November 6, 2021 which aligns with prosecutor records.

A judge in Los Angeles just ruled there’s enough probable cause for rapper A$AP Rocky, Rihanna’s boyfriend and the father of her two children, to support two counts of first-degree assault with a firearm. He’ll be arraigned Jan. 8, and the case will proceed to trial.

Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, grilled the detective in a cross-examination where the detective admitted that “nothing definitively” shows Rocky firing the shots.
The LAPD also never recovered the gun in question and the bullet shell casings didn’t have fingerprints connected to the Harlem rapper.

Per Meghann Cuniff, a judge ruled that the evidence supplied by prosecutors is sufficient enough to proceed forward and support the assault charges. Rocky will be arraigned on January 8 and a trial will follow.
According to Ephron, tensions between the two ignited after Rocky allegedly promised to help the family of a deceased member of the A$AP Mob, but never did.
The two arranged to meet at the Los Angeles hotel on November 6, 2021. Ephron claims A$AP Rocky arrived with multiple men and pointed a gun at his stomach and said: “I’ll kill you right now.”
Ephron testified that he was shot shortly afterwards and claims Rocky shot him four times — including once in the hand — before fleeing the scene.

Ephron is also suing A$AP Rocky and his lawyer Joe Tacopina for defamation, alleging the attorney of launching a media campaign against him that paints him as a liar.
Rocky pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm in August 2022 and is still out on a $550,000 bond. The A$AP Mob co-founder could face up to nine years in prison if convicted as charged.
