Lennox didn’t go into detail about why she’ll no longer be touring, but she did say that the European leg of her forthcoming roadshow has been canceled due to “reasons out of [her] control.”

“Age Sex Location will be my last tour,” she wrote to her 800,000-plus followers. “I love my genuine fans so much and can’t wait to give you my all every night.”

She added: “Europe I love you but unfortunately there will not be a tour due to reasons out of my control. Happy holidays See you soon Vegas!”

Many fans were upset to hear the news, with one replying: “What you mean last, bb??? Don’t have me crying in the club on a Thursday like this girl.”

Another wrote: “Girl what!?! I couldn’t secure tickets for the Chicago show [weary face emoji] does this mean I’ll never see you live?”

The tour comes in support of Ari’s sophomore album of the same name, which arrived on September 9. The 12-track project boasted appearances from Lucky Daye, Summer Walker and Chloe Bailey, along with production from Jermaine Dupri, J. Cole, Bryan-Michael Cox and others.

The follow-up to her breakout 2019 debut Shea Butter Baby, the album debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard 200 after earning roughly 12,000 units in its first week.

According to texts Ari sent to her label boss J. Cole prior to its release, Age/Sex/Location was inspired by the difficult time she’s had dating in the modern age.

“Transitional space. Very vulnerable and codependent and validation seeking park of my life,” the 31-year-old wrote in response to Cole asking her what the album meant to her.

“I remember the countless times I was kicked out of dating apps because they didn’t think I was really myself, it reminded me of those age/sex/location days where I actually wasn’t being myself in those chat rooms,” she continued.

“I spent so much time seeing the god and good in some abusive people. What’s for me is for me and I’m complete on my own. This is my eat pray love journey.”
