Ari Lennox has announced a new tour in support of her most recent album, Age/Sex/Location — check out the full list of dates below.
The 27-city tour will kick off on January 26 at Las Vegas’ House of Blues and take in dates in Los Angeles, Oakland, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Boston, Toronto, Chicago and New York. The tour will wrap up in her hometown of Washington, D.C. at the Howard Theatre on March 28.

Due to high demand, Lennox, who shared the news on her Instagram page, announced extra shows in Chicago and Washington D.C. “Chicago boy you know I love y’all so we adding ANOTHER show!!!!! And DMV guess what? We adding ANOTHER show at the Fillmore !!!! Get your tickets baby,” she wrote.

The new tour announcement comes after age/sex/location wasn’t nominated for any Grammys at the 2023 awards, which the singer’s fans took personally.
“Ari lennox really gets snubbed every year at the grammys and nobody talks about it, her recent album was definitely top 3 best albums of the year,” wrote one angry fan on Twitter.

Another added, “Hands down the best R&B song that came out this year was Ari Lennox and Lucky Daye’s Boy Bye and no Grammy nomination? Lemme not even get started on the Summer Walker snub…”
age/sex/location arrived on September 9, and according to texts she sent to J. Cole, the album is based on the difficult time she’s had dating in the modern age.

“Trasitional space. Very vulnerable and codependent and validation seeking park of my life,” Ari Lennox wrote in her lengthy reply to Cole, who asked to explain what the project means to her.
“I remember the countless times I was kicked out of dating apps because they didn’t think I was really myself, it reminded me of those age/sex/location days where I actually wasn’t being myself in those chat rooms,” she said. “I spent so much time seeing the god and good in some abusive people. What’s for me is for me and I’m complete on my own. This is my eat pray love journey.”
She followed up the release with a slow and sultry performance on The Tonight Show, performing a rendition of “POF” and “Waste My Time,” both from the project.
The new album and subsequent tour comes after a tumultuous period for the Dreamville signee. Lennox broke away from her management company in March, a month after she expressed frustration with Dreamville and Interscope. Those frustrations then hit a boiling point when she sat down for an uncomfortable interview on MacG’s Podcast and Chill, where the host asked if anyone had been “sexually satisfying” the singer.

She wrote off interviews at the time and later told Vibe that she’s experienced a significant amount of growth as a person. “I think [on] Shea Butter Baby, I romanticize a lot of things in life,” Lennox said.” I feel like I was very naive about a lot of things about romance, about myself, about career, life, whatever, and I feel like I’m just more aware now, more evolved, [and] more, not putting up with certain shit I don’t like.”
