Apathy & O.C. Release “Perestroika” Album

    1. Ap posted a video of himself listening to a bunch of these tracks about a year ago, and they sounded really dope at the time. I’ve been anticipating the album pretty heavily ever since, it feels like its been pushed back for years. Can’t wait to give it a listen when I drive to work later.

    2. now this here i can fuck with, no lie shit is dope. also woulda been cool to have maybe a Chief Kamachi or King Magnetic feat

      1. Wouldve loved it too, but Kamachi wouldnt touch anything Apathy was involved in with a 10 ft pole. Their beef may have cooled down but the break with AOTP was pretty permanent as far as I know. Kamachi was my favorite member (even though i was a JMT fan before i discovered his shit in ’04) and when he left he made his best LP since his debut (Rise & Rhyme, Vol. 1, ’11) while both JMT & AOTP pretty much turned to shit post-’08. Since, Kamachi has never appeared on anything Enemy Soil or anything with Ap, who was the trigger for the conflict between Paz & Kamachi (which in turn was complex, about money, about Mach not being invited by Paz to tour in spite of him being an original member etc etc). But I wouldve expected some DITC guests and Blacastan’d do nicely.

    3. Okay album, so far no one has topped Styles p and Talib’s – Seven, Gensu Dean & Wise Intelligent – Game Of Death and Apollo Brown & Planet Asia – Anchovies. Highly recommend this three.

    4. Would of been wayyyy better without apathys terrible production. Wish this was more DITC than a demigod project. I was let down. Album is great, after you take away anything apathy did

    5. I haven’t been listening to Apathy since AOTP pretty much turned to shit when Kamachi left in ’08 (and Ap always was way too much a misogynist comedy rapper to me anyway, Eso, Vinnie & Celph at least made that splatter-gore-overkill horrocore rap work somehow, Ap had no distance) but maybe ten years has changed him, Ima check this out cause I love O.C.; 2nd best MC of DITC (A.G. is #1, even ahead of Big L). And the concept is promising, sick & tired of the democrat, liberal left (as opposed to socialist left) anti-russia bullshit scare-propaganda thats been filling the media lately; here in northern/western EU its even worse. Cant imagine this project making any in-depth analysis of the forces at work but the russians choose to rally for strong sovereignity, expropriation, orthodox church and anti-liberalism cause the 90’s laissez-faire trading, american dream-style-thievery & corruption-capitalism was such a disaster on all levels (capitalism usually is for others than leviathan). Matters not; ostalgia is a deep aesthetic well to drink from anyway & what little I heard is aight. OC’s shit is always dope and production aint as bad as expected from a Demigodz-affialiated project.

      1. I feel the exact same way about Apathy and AOTP. I honestly think Esoteric is the best rapper out of the group and is the only one I still listen to. I listened to jmt and vinnie solo for a long time but I can’t stand vinnie anymore, sounds like a violent cookie monster.
