Several rap fans commenting on the upcoming Dipset Verzuz The LOX battle noted that 50 Cent’s G-Unit would also make for an interesting matchup, for their early 00s reign dominated on the charts as well as the streets.
However, those fans should be aware that the man with the authority to push the button on such a match-up is a fairweather fan of the house Timbaland and Swizz Beatz built these days.
On Thursday (July 15), the New York Premiere of his Starz series Power Book III: Raising Kanan at Hammerstein Ballroom brought forth the opportunity to address a potential Verzuz appearance, seeing that T.I. made matters a huge talking point last year.
Seeing that the new series has already been granted a second season, 50 Cent’s focus appeared to be elsewhere when asked about his thoughts on sizing up his hits within the high-profile Triller platform.
“A Verzuz battle?” he pondered. “Probably not! We back outside,” he laughed.
“That was something that happened during the pandemic when we was stuck in the house. Now that we back outside, there’s other things to do. We supposed to be creating new history, not being back there.”
Although many fans have probably lost count on the number of Verzuz battles, the stage has become bigger than ever. The aforementioned Dipset Verzuz The LOX is set for August 3 inside Madison Square Garden’s Hulu’s Theater in the heart of New York City.
Additionally, the introduction of the COVID-19 vaccine hasn’t quelled the rise of coronavirus cases in the United States, with all 50 states reporting noticeable upticks in the past few weeks. Many international nations such as Australia, Uganda and the United Kingdom are enforcing tougher lockdowns yet again.
Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has called it “a pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
As for new history, 50 Cent is slated to be a headliner for Rolling Loud NYC in October — but hasn’t released an album since 2015’s The Kanan Tape.
Like his 2021 collaboration with NLE Choppa, “Part Of The Game,” the music was a thinly veiled vehicle to promote the Power brand.
While the verdict is out whether a new 2021 album is coming, 50 Cent did link with his Hip Hop familia NLE Choppa and DaBaby ahead of performing several hits at the Power Book III: Raising Kanan premiere.
50 vs Game. Let’s do it !!!!
Now that’s one we all want to see.
Exactly somebody make it happen
Nah 50 vs Ja. That’s what we all want to see 😉

Ask 50 if he wants to battle Yeezy now! Ye gotta whole different catalog now and most of 50 shit is “aged” now. And don’t we all love to see NYC vs The Chi
Sorry to Curtis stans, but 50 cent has only one good decent album. His discography turned into shit after GRODT. He had a few hits here and there after that but that’s all. He might be clever when it comes to business strategies with his tv shows and investments but as far as his career as a rapper he’s definitely not in a top 20 list… The only artists he deserves to do a verzus with are Nelly, Ja Rule and Fabolous.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess
Homos are not entitled to an opinion at all!
So how come you lesbians can have some??
50 cent, is Badd as hell. I don’t care if it’s 200.00 in the club. I live in D.C. right now. The whole damn club gets on the dance floor, in 2021.
