In connection with Oprah Winfrey, Alicia visited hospitals in Mombasa, where she was able to see patients and speak to some. The AP reports that she toured the hospitals and later visited some of the children’s homes.
Keys has been a supporter for quite some time. Reports indicate that the singer has supplied drugs herself and has been sending them to those in need since 2004.
Her donations have helped more than 400 kids.
Keys also denied interview requests while on her visit. She denied requests because her visit was for private reasons and not professional.
