Two of the best hip-hop producers in the game today are joining forces for a full-length collaboration.
The Alchemist and Hit-Boy have announced they’re dropping a joint album called Goldfish on October 24 via EMPIRE.
The project, which will see the two beatmaker-MCs rapping over each other’s beats à la J Dilla and Madlib‘s Jaylib, will also be accompanied by a short film of the same name.
According to a press release, the film will feature appearances from Danny Trejo (Heat, Con Air), Simon Rex (Scary Movie 3) and others, and follows “a squad of hit men disguised as carpet cleaners attempting to leave a life of crime in a chaotic flurry of events.”
As for the album itself, The Alchemist and Hit-Boy kickstarted the rollout last week with the release of the lead single “Business Merger.”
Featuring thumping, horn-laced production from Uncle Al, the high-energy song found the dynamic duo trading clever, confident verses — reminding fans they’re as nice on the mic as their rapper counterparts.
The Alchemist and Hit-Boy’s chemistry is no surprise given they’ve already released two joint projects together: the three-song Theodore & Andre EP and Black & Whites, a collaboration with Hit-Boy’s father and fellow rapper Big Hit.
The pair also dropped the one-off single “Slipping Into Darkness” and split production credits on Benny The Butcher‘s Def Jam debut Everybody Can’t Go.

I honestly didn’t expect much when I first tried this, but here I am making around 6,000/USD a month just by working online a few hours a day from home. It’s not a get-rich scheme, just something steady that’s been working for me quietly in the background. If you’ve been looking for something consistent like I was, here’s what…

Vultures. Hit Boy is a nepo baby he was put on by his uncle and handed to Kanye as a producer under GOOD Music he then turned on Ye lying on him to then secure a deal to be the next guy create his own label HS87 which failed and then got to produce for Nas. Alchemist is a zionist under Eminem signed to Shady run by another one Paul Rosenberg. These people are not it, upsetting the real producers get no credit Lex Luger who formed 808 Mafia and the trap sound that evolved into the drill sound, Young Chop pioneered the drill sound beginning with Sosa, Sonny Digital the best producer Future worked with not Metro, Parris Bueller best producer Lil Durk worked with, Knucklehead great NOLA producer amazing with August Alsina, Cool & Dre great with Cash Money post Mannie Fresh, Mannie Fresh of course, Detail who’s locked up now, Dree The Drummer another great Durk producer, so many others too crazy old heads kept pretending Dre and Just Blaze dominated and had the best beats when Blaze is no where near Ye and Dre stole sounds from Ruthless Records producers that’s why post 2000’s he was lost and couldn’t produce anymore having others produce under him like Just Blaze. Pharrell never sounded good same with Swizz. Timbaland had his ups but more a pop producer sadly and Mustard he evolved into that too but still great. Mike Will another guy they threw away. Travis Scott used to be great too as a producer his early stuff was so different to what he makes now Owl Pharoah and his beats for Ye different.
Ahh stfu, no wants to buy what you’re selling…
