After The Tears & Harriet Tubman Rant, Kanye West Didn’t Make The South Carolina Ballot

Kanye West held his first presidential campaign rally in South Carolina on Sunday (July 19) and par for the course, it turned into a giant spectacle.

After tearfully confessing he tried to convince his now-wife Kim Kardashian to abort their first child North West, he spouted off about famous abolitionist Harriet Tubman, saying, “Harriet Tubman never freed the slaves, she just had the slaves go work for other white people.”

But even with all the passion and emotion he put into his speech, Ye reportedly didn’t make the South Carolina ballot. According to TMZ, Director of Public Information for the South Carolina State Election Commission Chris Whitmore said the Hip Hop mogul’s campaign somehow missed Monday’s (July 20) deadline to get on the November ballot.

Kanye, who’s running with the independent “Birthday Party,” needed 10,000 signatures as a petition candidate, but the State Election Commission didn’t hear from Ye or his campaign and wasn’t provided with either traditional or digital signatures.

In the wake of Sunday’s rally, Kanye’s family and friends are reportedly worried about his mental health. TMZ reports those around Ye think he’s in “desperate need of professional help” and experiencing a serious bipolar episode. Despite their concern, the Hip Hop billionaire won’t heed their warnings.

The family is also allegedly “upset” Kanye talked about his wife’s first pregnancy and the option for an abortion, although he said even if Kardashian divorced him for saying that, he’d still thank her for having North.

Kanye announced his intention to run for president in the 2020 election on the Fourth of July. In the last couple of weeks, he’s filed his statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Committee (FEC), photoshopped himself onto Mount Rushmore and kicked off his campaign trail.

    1. This MF gone crazy, don’t need a bulletproof vest, his ass needs a straight jacket.

MF should have said “Harriet Tubman wasn’t a tub, or a Man, Ye 2020!” and he’d have done a better job than he did here.

    2. Hes saying Harriet Tubman thought she was freeing slaves but she just took them to the north where the black people worked for white people but were still basically slaves in many other ways. Is he wrong or are people so quick to jump to anger because of certain words, phrases, or because the media has already said that kanyes crazy, and since the american people are slaves to the media and worship those masters, then theres no reason to try to dissect what he says or make any attempt to see what hes trying to get at.

      1. So is it my responsibility to make sure you understand what im saying or is it your job to take what i say and decipher it and totally get it?

      2. Ok but why is he talking about Harriet Turman in the first place. We don’t have time for his shannanigans right now. Just like trump he’s not fit to be a president of a whole country.

    3. Someone please escort Mr. West back to his hometown to find himself.

    4. If West’s inner circle really are so concerned about him, they need to give him a fully wound up backhand to the mouth right now before he embarrasses himself any further, and possibly look into having him declared mentally unfit unless and until he gets his shit under control. I don’t want to hear about his goddamn mental illness. I can assure you that I’ve got him beat on that one. I also learned to listen to other people when they tell me that I’m acting weird and reconsider my course, and it’s why I’m in therapy and take more pills than a fentanyl addict. As it is, he’s starting to make it look like his mom may have made an error in judgment on this one.

    5. Do you remember when Kanye said slavery was a choice and everybody got all angry at Kanye?
Funny thing is that Harriet Tubman said the SAME THING:
“I Could Have Freed a Thousand More Slaves If They Knew They Were Slaves” -Harriet Tubman
