The inspiration behind one of Rap’s greatest ballads, 2Pac’s “Dear Mama” was reportedly arrested in Robeson County North Carolina on April 16 for marijuana possession, says Raleigh’s WRAL. Sixty-three year-old Afeni Shakur Davis was reportedly stopped by police while she drove and smoked the substance simultaneously.
As a result, Davis will appear in court May 10 to face three counts of drug charges – possession, simple possession, and possession while operating a motor vehicle. She is presently out on $10,000 bond.
