Hail Mary Mallon, a group formed by Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic and DJ Big Wiz, will be releasing its debut album Are You Gonna Eat That? on Rhymesayers Entertainment soon. The trio has the 12-track digital release dropping on May 3 with a physical copy following on June 7.
The group got its name from Mary Mallon, the name of the first person associated with the pathogen associated with the typhoid fever.
In preparation for this, Hail Mary Mallon will be touring with Kimya Dawson through April and May. Their first single is “Smock” and the video for the track is below.
Fucking awesome! I just kinda hope the actual retail song isn’t made in a fucking car – it’s kinda hard to hear what they’re saying.
This is so dope.
Its funny how this page only has 3 comments. Music sounds fresh, Im buyin this when it comes out
Live from the burgundy camry, awesome!! This will be sick! Rhymesayers is just epic.
I used to love Aesop, but I gotta be real, alot of his newer stuff is hit or miss, leaning towards the latter. That last track he put on Twitter, that “take a titty out” song was horrible. I think I’ll just stick with labor days.
