9th Wonder Answers Redman’s Instagram Call For Production

9th Wonder is more than ready to work with Redman. The acclaimed producer previewed seven new beats on Instagram Wednesday (May 31) for Reggie Noble after the veteran MC praised 9th’s work and attempted to recruit him for production on Muddy Waters 2.

“Come on @redmangilla I’m IN here,” 9th wrote in the caption of the first video post. “Come to NC…..”

The brewing collaboration all started when Redman heard that 9th wanted to work with him. The Funk Doc was excited by the idea and announced his intent to make it a reality in a post on social media.

“Yo, 9th Wonder!” Red said in an Instagram video. “I heard you wanna work, nigga. Let’s work, let’s work, nigga! This one of my favorite remixes by you, nigga. Erykah Badu, Afro Blue, nigga.”

Redman is currently in the early stages of recording his much-anticipated sequel to Muddy Waters. Over the past few days, Red has been teasing fans with updates on the long-awaited LP, including the revelation that he’s creating the eighth entry to his “Soopaman Luva” series.

      1. Put the crack down…like seriously. The “worst” beat is decent. Funk Doc would Hulk smash these beats

        1. Seriously? You clowns would pick these stale ass typical beats over an Erick Sermon beat? Y’all the ones smoking crack.

          1. As if Erick Sermon only makes bangin’ beats. E-Double is brilliant, especially between ’91 to ’97, but after that he also made his fair share of uninspired stuff. Truth be told, 9th is not that good as Erick is/was, but he made dope beats too. Shit’s not black or white.

    1. Red and Meth look like they’re smoking METH . Old boom bap Hiphop dead . 10 years since last album haaaaaaa . Nobody’s checking for that BS music .

      1. You’re right. That’s why Tribe’s last album was so revered. New York Hiphop is dead.

    2. A Red and 9th album would be soooo crazy. 9th and No ID are still top 5 in the game.

        1. hahahahaha dumpster? damn. I dunno how you qualify that statement but hey, its an opinion. You should watch his Rhythm Roulette. He makes 3 beats and makes it look effortless.

    3. Redman is underrated and forgotten about. probably won’t get attention but it might be descent.

    4. Wouldnt mind hearing red on some Cardo or Harry Fraud slapps, and maybe DJ MR.Rogers as well. Some smooth shit.

      As for BoomBap, i’d say S1,illmind,madlib,just blaze,ski beatz,bink,nottz,hitek,dj khalil.
      Some beats that slapp hard

Shit, wouldnt mind hearing him over some dam-funk,battlecatt,rick rock.

      OG RedMan still got it

    5. 9th Wonder has always been slept on for years! This guy each year with production is getting better and better. If those tracks make the cut, Redman new CD is going to be fire!!!!!!!!

    6. Hell no. 9th’s production got stale since Little Brother broke up. Plus, that style of production ain’t hittin’ once the novelty wears off.
