While his album Before I Self Destruct continues to be pushed back, 50 Cent [click to read] is using this extra time to refocus on his album. And with Eminem’s album finally out of the way, 50 Cent is finding this to be the best time to perfect his album.
“I just got back from Detroit — prior to me starting ‘Twelve’ — [with] Em and Dre finishing up the record,” 50 Cent explained to MTV. “It’s clear for me now, creatively, ’cause we got Em completed. His album is mixed and mastered and ready to be presented to the public.”
Back in the studio with Dr. Dre, 50 Cent has already given in to replacing current tracks on the album with newer music.
And according to the Queens rapper the replaced tracks on Before I Self Destruct were let go because they were “dated.”
“To me, sometimes it would sound like I’m absolutely out my mind if I played you the music,” said 50 Cent. “But it gets dated. I’ve been playing it for myself for so long, I’m no longer as excited as I was when I wrote it for the first time.”
Aside from completing his album 50 Cent has also been busy promoting his “Blood In The Sand” video game; he is also hard at work on the set of the movie Twelve [click to read].
There is still no set release date for Before I Self Destruct.
