50 Cent has called out STARZ for dropping the ball on his NFL Powerbroker series, claiming the network “paid for development” and then “had a change of heart.”

According to the Daily Mail, the series centers on the life of NFL agent Nicole Lynn, who despite being a figure in pro football backrooms for several years, recently had her biggest moment when her client, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, signed the biggest annual average deal in league history, worth nearly $255million.

On Saturday (April 21), the G-Unit mogul took to Instagram to voice his frustration with the TV network, noting in the post that while he was disappointed with the outcome, he still plans to “sell this show in no time.”

“Nicole Lynn is no joke i told STARZ, they didn’t listen. They paid for development then had a change of heart. Now you know i’m gonna sell this show in no time. Prior to leaving the premium network in September 2022, the rapper had a series of successful shows on STARZ, including Power and BMF. Earlier this year, 50 Cent signed with FOX in February for future TV/film endeavors in partnership with his G-Unit Film & Television production company.

“I am excited to formalize a partnership with Michael Thorn and FOX that will allow G-Unit Film & Television to focus on putting multiple series on FOX, a perfect broadcast destination for G-Unit Film & Television content while our premium, streaming, scripted and non-scripted slates continue to grow in all directions,” 50 said in a statement at the time.

50 Cent has recently admitted that he “hates” that he found huge success with STARZ in the world of television as his relationship with the premium network has soured.

Earlier this month, the rapper gave himself a pat on the back as he claimed to have the one through four top shows for African-American and Latin households in the country, but clarified he’s not creating any spin-offs or new series with STARZ.
