50 Cent Says He’s ‘Packing His Bags’ If Joe Biden Wins 2020 Election

50 Cent caused an uproar earlier this week when he told his 26.2 million Instagram followers to “vote for Trump.” The Power mogul was apparently bothered by Joe Biden’s proposed tax plan, which would apply a 62 percent top tax rate to New York and New Jersey residents who make over $400,000 a year.

On Tuesday night (October 20), 50 insinuated he would leave the United States if the Democratic presidential nominee wins the election. The comment came with a screenshot of an older post he wrote about not wanting to be “20 Cent” and MSNBC anchor Ari Melber responding, “You getting your news from over there now [Fox News]?! 50 come home.”

He replied in the caption, “@arimelber explain 62% to me. I’m packing my bags everybody that has money is gonna move.”

50 has been on a social media rampage since learning of Biden’s tax plan, posting about it regularly for the past three days. On Wednesday (October 21), the former G-Unit rapper posted another screenshot of a comment from comedian Chelsea Handler who had a brief relationship with 50 in 2009.

Handler wrote, “You used to be my favorite boyfriend,” to which 50 said, “oh my God this is affecting my love life now. @chelseahandler I love ya Gator, don’t let Trump and joe Biden come between us girl.”

50’s Trump endorsement has yielded support from conservative commentator Tomi Lahren, Trump’s senior campaign advisor Katrina Pierson and Candace Owen, leading many of 50’s fans to turn their backs on him.

Some point out how misinformed people seem to be on what the 62 percent tax rate actually means for every day Americans. As author Fredrick Joseph explained on Twitter, “I’m happy @oldmanebro is talking about 50 Cent endorsing Trump on the radio. A lot of you are aligning with 50 because of the implications of Biden’s tax plans. 1. Y’all don’t make enough to be taxed more 2. Taxing the wealthy more helps YOU 3. The wealthy are gaslighting you.”

    1. Imagine bustin your ass, grinding so hard you finally get your small business to $400K. Then you have to turn around and give $250K to the government and Joe Biden to pay for some lofty environmental plan. Taxing people 62% of THEIR income is highway robbery.

    3. Hey! Imagine bustin your ass, grinding so hard you finally get your small business to $400K. Then you have to turn around and give $250K to the government and Joe Biden to pay for some lofty environmental plan.

      1. Lol you clearly don’t know how taxes work. Get out of here with your clown accounting. Every dollar isn’t taxed at $1 and a business is taxed differently than personal income.

        smh

        1. Dang it, you’re right. I had a dummy moment for sure. You are correct in that this is a marginal progressive tax. Not every dollar is taxed at 62%. I just looked up the current rates for 2019. You’re taxed 10% for the first $10K in earnings, then 12% between $11K and $40K, then 22% between $41K and $85K, and keeps creeping up to 35% for income between $200K and $510K. So Biden’s plan wants to jump all the way up to 62% when the current 2019 rate is 35%? I may have been wrong the first time, but this isn’t that much better of an option.

          1. 1% of American’s make that much money and literally zero of them will be hurt in any meaningful way by this tax increase. Up until the 80’s and Regan unleashing the first attempt at the failure known as trickle down economics, the marginal tax rates on the rich hovered between 70% and 80% and the nation literally built the middle class and this nation as a whole thrived like never before or after. But you keep protecting that king’s gold like a good little peasant.

            1. Way more that 1% makes $400k or more. Check your data. I’d be curious what amount was taxed at 70-80% in the Reagan years. We talking about 5 million or above?

        1. Thanks Bihustoopid. I corrected myself in my response to Johnny Blaze. Still a shitty tax plan for anybody making money.

        1. Someone that is trying to defend Trump by calling others sheep is hands down the pinnacle of projection and is hilarious as fuck.

          1. Lmao you fuxking idiot you dont even know why you hate trump you stupid fucks can’t even think for yourselves, ie SHEEP you literally can’t project a thought or emotion that hasn’t been activated by your pissy news stations, you can’t think for yourself so you need bbc or who the fuck ever you listen to to tell you he’s this he’s that but yet all you get is wee clips of miss information, if you go listen to the full interviews you’d see oh he’s against the kkk unlike Biden who looks up to the Kkk leader…. you probley are just that some racist phony fuck

    4. 50 cent’s the biggest bitch in hiphop. not even a good rapper. all his fame came from others writing his shit for him, then he dipped into corporate America where he’s just as pathetic and selfish as a typical wall st banker.

All he cares about is the corporate tax rate. nothing else.

    5. They stay deleting comments but keep the Sleepy Joe supporters, you can’t even state your opinion like this is so wild! Im not for democrat pro abortion stance nor do I like getting taxed after grinding to get on top, this is a capitalist America…come up with a better plan for those on welfare..cause we all know these tax dollars is not all going to the poor..the dems just love to come up with these package plans just to roll it over into overseas business deals!

    6. I get most of the people saying this isn’t a bad tax plan are people who aren’t really doing much with their lives and think they are owed something. Or, they just buy into whatever progressive communist tells them. The TDS is really bad. It goes without saying that you have a better chance of getting of the COVID than TDS.

    7. imagine turning to someone like 50 cent for political insight, or any “celebrity” for that matter, sheesh.

    8. This tax plan is outrageous. It only looks good to the ignorant ppl who know nothing about economics. Just because they throw out this narrative that if you make over 400k it will affect you doesn’t make it true. When ppl start to leave these states or hide money the middle class and poor will pick up the tab. It’s called trickled down economics. I suggest ppl look at history and facts to see how these tax plans actually work. If you think for one minute that the poor and middle class aren’t next, you better think again. Btw all celebrities claim they are going to leave and never do it
