50 Cent has praised Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown for his “tough love” approach to his players, praising the veteran coach for not cutting his players any slack.

The G-Unit head honcho took to Instagram on Thursday (November 9) to post a behind-the-scenes video of the Kings’ practice game. When one of the players appears to fumble the ball without making the basket, Brown cuts him no slack.

“We’re gonna keep doin’ that shit!” Brown barks. “I don’t give a fuck! I don’t give a fuck! […] You missed the fuckin’ shot down there! What’chu doin’?”

Fif praised Brown for his no-nonsense approach to his players in the caption and seemed to encourage him to keep up that line of coaching. “Tough Love this is what it takes to create focus sometimes. You will see how well they play together, fvck all that soft shit! Let’s Go ! #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi,” he wrote in the caption.

Last year, the G-Unit boss shared a few words with the team ahead of a November game against the Indiana Pacers.

50 pulled up to morning shootaround practice and had the entire team laughing at his stories and antics. Following a dap-up with head coach Mike Brown, 50 broke down the Kings’ huddle and then posed for photos with some of the players like star point guard De’Aaron Fox.

“They said they was gonna do it and they did it. @sacramentokings W tonight the beam is lit,” he wrote on Instagram after the Kings dismantled the Pacers.

The rapper-turned-television producer, however, has more than a passing interest in basketball — and specifically, with the Kings.

In July 2022, Fif’s Sire Spirits LLC along with his G-Unity Foundation charity inked a multi-year partnership with the team, and Sire became the exclusive champagne partner of the Sacramento Kings.

50’s champagne also became the presenting beverage sponsor of Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center, and the arena’s “Rush by Sire Spirits” club featured a new 500-bottle Le Chemin du Roi Champagne Wall.

As for the G-Unity Foundation, it’ll unite with the Sacramento Kings Foundation to provide scholarships and other initiatives to help local youth. The two foundations also hosted a dinner for the Kings and Queen Rise Co-Ed Youth Sports and Mentoring League for players and coaches, where 50 Cent spoke about his career with Kyle Draper.
