50 Cent is not amused with Power creator Courtney A. Kemp launching a new crime drama for Netflix inspired by the hit STARZ series.
The upcoming show, titled Nemesis, is billed as being in the same vein as the popular gangster drama and also stars Shane Johnson, who appeared as Cooper Saxe in Power.
Reacting to the news on Instagram, 50 appeared less than impressed, writing: “Nah this ain’t it a POWER reunion with one cast member [grinning face emoji]. I don’t know none of these [ninja emoji]’s. ain’t nobody jackin this shit! LOL.”
Johnson defended the move in the comments section, replying: “Yeah, but bro… we’re talking SAXE! That’s enough, man!”

An official synopsis of the show reads: “Nemesis is the story of two men on either side of the law, the tale of what happens when an unstoppable force, expert criminal Coltrane Wilder, meets an immovable object, brilliant police detective Isaiah Stiles.
“What starts as a series that aims to subvert the heist genre at every turn — amped with thrilling life-or-death stakes — family dynamics and explosive action, actually gives birth to an exploration of what drives us, sustains us and ultimately destroys us.”
As well as Johnson, Nemesis is set to star Matthew Law, Y’Ian Noel, Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, Ariana Guerra, Gabrielle Dennis, Michael Potts, Sophina Brown, Jeff Pierre and Cedric Joe.
Last year, 50 Cent teased yet another spin-off in the Power universe.
While many of the existing spin-offs begin winding down, the G-Unit mogul was emphatic that there was still legs in the vast crime saga.
“Im glad all the fans have been so supportive of FORCE,” he wrote on Instagram, “we have more heat coming, my Power Universe is still expanding… wait till you see what I have up my sleeve, you haven’t seen the last of Tommy…… [bomb emoji] BOOM.”
Fif had previously claimed that a prequel series was in the works at STARZ, writing: “You asked, I answered. Young Ghost and Tommy coming your way. Power Origins now in development.”
There has been no update on the status of the show since.
Power originally premiered in 2014 on STARZ and ran for six seasons before birthing three separate spin-offs, with 50 Cent starring in the series as Kanan as well as serving as executive producer.
Here comes munkey ass 50 trying to start beef with streaming networks.
But knowing 50, it’s probably not “beef” it’s to help Courtney get more views by him talking about it and make it seem like he’s taking jabs at it but his way of promoting it
I would like to believe that. I really would.
But who cares what you believe…….
You do bc you took the time out of your day to comment to me, the random person no one cares about. You fucking dummy 😭
