Las Vegas police have determined 50 Cent (born Curtis Jackson III) is not a suspect in a case concerning a recent jewelry theft.
Officer Larry Hadfield said Wednesday (May 13) that the LVPD has not “positively identified a suspect,” the Associated Press reports.
TMZ originally reported that LAX Jewelry Co. owner, Robert Marin, says he met up with 50 Cent in Las Vegas earlier this month to make a jewelry sale worth upwards of $250,000.
After meeting with 50 at a nightclub in the city Marin claims he was invited to visit Floyd Mayweather’s gym in order to finalize the sale of a watch and a necklace. At the gym, Marin says he was pistol-whipped by two members of 50 Cent’s entourage before being robbed of the jewelry and left behind.
Just days ago, Fif’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, released the following statement:
“On behalf of 50, I can adamantly deny that he or his security had anything to do with these baseless and false allegations.”
