50 Cent has shared his thoughts on Los Angeles’ controversial zero-bail policy and said the city is “finished” now that the policy has been reinstated.
The policy, which was reinstated in May, states that L.A. police won’t detain people who are accused of misdemeanor crimes such as burglary, shoplifting, drug use, vandalism and battery. The law will also free those who are currently incarcerated with these charges and others.
While the law could prevent low-level offenders from spending unnecessary time behind bars, 50 Cent believes the policy was bad for the community.
“LA is finished watch how bad it gets out there,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram. “SMH.”
However, commenters clarified that the policy is not what it seems, and that the Fox News clip that 50 Cent shared that made this claim wasn’t entirely accurate.
“When will Black ppl learn that anything from Fox News will be conservative propaganda?!?!” one commenter wrote. “This is not what is actually happening. Anyone arrested will be detained and go through the system as per usual. They will see a judge and a court date will be given.
“In the past, the judge set a cash bail and if you could not afford it you stay in Jail until your court date. This was biased towards people from higher income classes cause they could actually afford bail.”
The commenter continued: “Now no one will who is arrested for low level non violent crime be forced to pay cash bail and remain jailed until their court date. Everyone who commits these offenses will be able to stay home until their court date just like people with money used to be able to.”
This isn’t the first time the “In Da Club” rapper has shared his thoughts on politics. In February, the Power mogul appeared on MSNBC’s The Beat With Ari Melber, and found himself in a friendly war of words with former Russian politician and Kremlin official Andrei Vladimirovich Kozyrev.
After their lengthy chat, Kozyrev, who served as Russia’s Foreign Minister under former president Boris Yeltsin between 1990 and 1996, later trolled 50 Cent online by claiming people kept asking him “who is 50 cent?” It didn’t take long for the Queens legend to return fire.
“@andreivkozyrev How are you feeling [smirking face emoji] i’m happy your still alive, Putin didn’t like that shit you said be careful now!” he wrote on Twitter.
Kozyrev responded by thanking 50 Cent and encouraging him to support Ukraine, while also informing him that his son is a “big fan.”
“@50cent, thank you sir!” he wrote back on Twitter. “Your support would also mean a lot for Ukraine. And by the way, my son is a big fan of yours.”
In other 50 Cent news, the rapper celebrated his 48th birthday on Thursday (July 6), and DaBaby took to Instagram to thank 50 for his unwavering support and mentorship over the years when he needed it most.
“HAPPY G DAY TO THE [GOAT],” he wrote alongside various photos of them together. “Still gone hit ya phone but I wanted to show my love and appreciation publicly! Bruh…I tell you all the time words can’t express how much I appreciate the relationship I got with you
Think about this for just a second….We love in America right ? So why are people guilty until proven innocent….LA got this one right…you innocent until proven guilty….
A lot of these crimes are going to be committed by the homeless that are running rampant in LA. They’ll be back on the street doing the same shit the same day.
Except most of it is caught on camera.
Oh yeah….glorify gangsterism, gun toting and pimpin on your records but can’t take criminality in real life? OK
I agree. Mass shooters and the people who plotted 9/11 shouldn’t have ever been detained! Just arrested, and a court date years later. Can’t say a mass shooter is guilty before a trial! FYI, bail is to keep those who pose a threat away from society.
Idk about you but if i cant afford something, im not going to try to buy it. Cant make bail, dont commit the crime stupid.
It’s funny, cos rich people ruin the lives of poor people like you every day and they don’t even see the inside of a jail before bail is posted. And here you are supporting incarceration of people because they can’t post bail for a misdemeanors they committed due to poverty.
@swoosh people are VERY rarely incarcerated for misdemeanor offenses, are are just about never held on bail until a court date. You’re really ignorant. And yes, rich people do tend to get off easier because they can afford very talented lawyers. With that said, it doesn’t mean poor people should be let off the hook for committing crimes either. I believe in bail. Most rich people who pay bail show up to court, because rich people don’t generally dissappear and ditch court. Tons of poor people go under the radar and skip court. Very common. Either way, I don’t like criminals. Lock em up.
LA will always be a hot piece of shit regardless
No lies detected

Ppl are retarded. They call this fox News bit conservative prooganda, and say “nah, its not like that. People still get arrested and get a court date”. Yeah. No sh1t. No bail just means you are free tol court idiot. Which generally means trashy people continue doing trashy things. Where I am, we’ve had a 1700% spike in car thefts
So now that you Don’t have to post bail, make sure you stay home till your court date and don’t get caught fucking aroynd.
Or… hear me out… just don’t fuck around.
