50 Cent has revealed the reason he’s not as concerned with his Power franchise being snubbed by awards shows after one of the series’ stars spoke out on the topic.
The entertainment mogul took to Instagram last week, where he shared the TMZ interview with Power Book II: Ghost star Gianni Paolo. In the clip, the actor called out the fact that, despite its popularity and consistently high ratings, none of the franchise’s four concurrent series are ever weighed against mainstream dramas like Succession and The Bear.

“Why are we not on Jimmy Fallon?,” Paolo asked. “Why are we not on Jimmy Kimmel? Why are we constantly put down and not brought to light? If any other show did 10.4 million views, any other show on any other network, these kids would never ever have to audition ever again. The proof is in the pudding. Look at The Wire: [it’s] arguably known as one of the best shows ever. Never won anything. What about Snowfall? Snowfall never won anything. Is it the Black audience that they don’t like? Is it the Black show? I don’t know what it is, I don’t have the answers; I just wanna ask the questions.
Fif shared his thoughts on the matter in the post’s caption, writing: “Its diversity we are still working pass old school thinking, I’m fine with surpassing other shows true accomplishments by reaching a bigger audience. @giannivpaolo is the truth!”
The success of his long-running creative partnership with STARZ hasn’t stopped 50 Cent from continuing to expand his film and television empire.
Last month, he teased that he is working on a new TV show with Idris Elba that he promises will change the game.

Fif has previously worked with some of Elba’s former co-stars, though, including fellow The Wire actors Wood Harris on BMF and Hassan Johnson on the 2010 movie Gun.
The tease came as 50 Cent looks to ramp up his G-Unit Film and TV production company after moving into a large studio space in Shreveport, Louisiana.
