50 Cent has been hit with five new charges, according to a TMZ.com exclusive supplied by information from the Los Angeles City Attorney. The Queens, New York superstar emcee is said to have fled the scene when police were called to the Toluca Lake, California residence of a reported ex-girlfriend, said to be his son’s mother by TMZ, on June 23.
Per reports, 50 and his ex were involved in an argument that grew violent. The G-Unit head is accused of breaking the woman’s personal property, including a chandelier, a door, and a television. The rapper is said to have kicked the woman as well, after breaking through a door she locked herself behind.
50 will be arraigned on July 22. He could face nearly $50,000 in fines, and up to five years of incarceration, if convicted. Since 1994, the rapper has been arrested several times, from charges ranging for drug possession with intent to distribute, to assault, to driving violations. It has been nearly seven years since the onetime Shady/Interscope Records artist was arrested.

UPDATE: 50 Cent’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, released the following statement on behalf of his client to media. “Curtis Jackson denies these allegations as made against him. It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest,” said the letter as it appeared on CNN. “We have been in contact with the L.A. City Attorney’s Office and are currently conducting our own investigation into these allegations. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not be commenting any further at this time.”

UPDATE #2: 50 Cent has pled non-guilty today (August 5) to five charges surrounding June’s domestic violence case. TMZ.com reports that a judge asked the Queens, New York rapper to turn in all of his firearms with the plea. Fif is also ordered to stay away from the accusing victim, Daphne Joy.
