50 Cent Announces This Is 50 Comedy Tour, Launches New Website

50 Cent has proven himself to be a businessman lacking the gene of fear. While being experimental has sometimes backfired on him when it comes to his music, his business ventures thrive from risky moves. On Tuesday 50 announced that he is ready to start a comedy tour that will be linked to his Thisis50.com website. The “This is 50 Comedy Show” will feature the site’s regular comedian Jack Thriller.

The tour will include the launching of 50’s newest website, Thisis50Comedy.com, which will officially be available to the public on April 28. The site’s debut will feature the first comedy show (filmed in front of a live audience in the Times Square Arts Center in New York), which viewers will be asked to pay $2.99 to watch online. Some of the proceeds will go to victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

“This tour represents a new era in comedy,” 50 said in a statement. “I’ve put together the funniest, most ignorant comedians you ever seen and we will travel the earth bringing laughter, joy, love, and pain, sunshine, and rain. So brace yourselves because we are coming to a city near you.”

The ‘This Is 50 Comedy Show’ will begin to air online on the last Thursday of each month.

    1. straight sucka shit from jockin dre to jockin simmons ,singing like a bitch, removing all his tatts, doing movies for faggotz.this nikka has become something he tried so hard to expose in ja rule a WANKSTA

      1. If being a “wanksta” means going from a 17 year old drug dealer with nothing going on in his life too being a multi multi multi millionaire, protege of Eminem and Dr.Dre and inter nation celebrity over the course of 3 years I need to become a wanksta

    2. “being experimental has sometimes backfired on him when it comes to his music” – what in the flying fuck has 50 Cent ever done that was experimental in his music?

This guy 1) made the same album four times in a row 2) chased every trend in the book – getting a Timbaland beat, Justin Timberlake hook 3) works with the same people ad nauseum (Eminem, Dre) and 4) only makes two types of songs – I’m going to kill you, and I’m going to fuck you.

Kanye experiments a lot with his music. So does The RZA. And Outkast. And Pharoahe Monch. Not fucking 50 Cent.

And no, I’m not dissing 50 Cent, or hating on him. He’s a talented rapper who’s made some great songs. But he is NOT experimental.

      Go back to Quizno’s, Salima.

      1. he almost released a Eurodance album. He was almost experimental. Like whats considered experimental for an artist like 50cent is different then for a kanye west. You expect kanye to be experimental but with 50 his first 2 albums where so strictly rap that if he collaborates with a Justin timberlake for example with a high tech beat like ayo technology then it appears more experimental because you have that contrast. Kanye was experimental from the start (jesus walks).

      2. @B@anksy What you wrote makes no sense.

        1) If you “almost” release a Eurodance album, that doesn’t make you experimental. That makes you the opposite of experimental. Because you are terrified of doing anything new. There is no evidence this album even exists. What songs have we heard from it? Nothing. For all we know, it is fiction.

        2) What is considered “experimental” for any artist is the same. And that is an artist deviating from his norm. “Jesus Walks” wasn’t that experimental. On every rapper’s album, there’s a dedication to God. Kanye is experimental because he radically changes his sound with each album, even going so far as to record an LP in Auotune, with more singing than rap. Meanwhile, 50 Cent rigidly sticks to the norm, releasing the same stereotypical gangster rap he’s been doing since 2000. When Curtis and Graduation dropped, almost every music critic remarked that Kanye succeeded for growing creatively, while 50 Cent was stagnant. That’s not being experimental.

        3) Collaborating with Justin Timblerlake on a Timbaland beat is not being experimental. It is jumping on the bandwagon, at a time when every fucking rapper was getting a Timbaland beat and a Timberlake hook on their albums. What’s more, “Ayo Technology” is not really a “high tech” beat. It’s a typical pop-rap beat from Timbaland. When 50 Cent had already rapped over a children’s treasury of pop-rap beats from Dr. Dre. Also, it’s yet another “I want to fuck you song.” I dare you to find any one calling that song “experimental,” in 2007. In most reviews, people called “Ayo Technology” plodding and trite.

So…no, 50 Cent is not experimental. He sticks to the old formula, ad nauseum.

    3. Retarded.

Lil Duval is jokes tho, never seen him live but his skits always make me laugh.

Ed Lover is a comedy OG.

Lots of black comedians gunna be on this I bet.
