2Pac once tried to fight Snoop Dogg for allegedly betraying Death Row Records, according to their former label boss Suge Knight.
Speaking to The Art of Dialogue, the incarcerated mogul detailed ‘Pac and Snoop’s falling-out during the “Dear Mama” rapper’s final days before he was shot and killed in 1996.
Suge explained that the pair’s relationship soured when Snoop showed love to Diddy or Biggie — fierce rivals of Death Row at the time — in a radio interview.
“We back at the hotel […] and I hear banging at the door,” he recalled. “I throw my boxers on, open the door and ‘Pac just runs in my room. I’m like, ‘What’s up?’ He’s like, ‘You got a radio?’ He all pumped up, he put the radio on, and we listened to Snoop on the radio.”
The Death Row co-founder continued: “Snoop is saying that’s ‘Pac on the bullshit. He’d do a song with Biggie, he’d do a song with Puffy, he’d do all these songs. ‘Pac was so mad because ‘Pac loved those dudes. He always would ride for them. And he brought it up.
“He said, ‘Man, I just came to fuck with you, but I fuck with everybody on Death Row. I put everybody on my album […] I’ll get on the frontline for them. For this fool to go up there and get on the radio and say fuck me and he riding with them? It’s on.’”
Knight explained that ‘Pac became even more riled up when Snoop was shot at while filming his “New York, New York” music video in the Big Apple, which was allegedly ordered by Biggie.
“We’re getting ready to fly back [home]. Every night before I turned in, I would hit ‘Pac and I would hit Snoop. ‘You good?’ ‘Yep.’ ‘You good?’ ‘Yep.’ That’s it, that means everybody’s straight,” he continued.
“When we got downstairs, ‘Pac took off on Snoop. ‘Pac ran up on him, did what he did. Snoop ran this way, ‘Pac running behind me. I stopped it. ‘You ain’t finna be doing all this shit in New York, making us all look like we some idiots.'”
Suge instead encouraged his two artists to settle their differences at Death Row’s studio back on the West Coast — specifically in the “red room” where any internal problems were hashed out in private (and not just with words).
According to Suge, however, Snoop ducked ‘Pac.
“Once people walk out that door, it’s over. I told both of them that. I told Snoop, ‘Come get in the car, we got to go to the airport.’ Snoop refused to ride with ‘Pac because he thought ‘Pac was crazy. Snoop rode in the van with the luggage,” he said.
“When we get to the private plane, I tell ‘Pac, ‘Let’s just get to the house and y’all can have that conversation later.’ But Snoop never got on the plane and grabbed no fork or no knife and banged on ‘Pac and all that type of stuff. Never happened.”
He added: “Snoop wasn’t trying to run into ‘Pac at all. He definitely didn’t gang bang on him.”
Suge was referencing Tha Doggfather’s previous claim that he was on the same flight back home as 2Pac, and carried a knife and a fork out of fear for his safety.
“Normally on a private plane, it be me ‘Pac and his security, me and my security, Suge and a couple of his homies. This time, Suge was like, ‘Hold up, [your security] can’t roll. They gotta catch a regular flight,'” Snoop told Angie Martinez in 2019.
“So now I’m like, ‘Okay.’ First of all, ‘Pac ain’t said shit to me the whole time. I know how this n-gga get down. So I get on the plane and I’m looking around. I’m like, ‘Wassup, ‘Pac?’ And they [ignore me].
“I walk to the back of the plane, get me a blanket, grab me a knife and a fork, put the blanket over my nose and ride like this the whole flight, hoping one of them n-ggas would fuck with me so I can stab everyone on this muthafucka.”
Snoop added that once the flight landed with no violence erupting on board, he asked 2Pac if he was planning to go to Las Vegas for the Mike Tyson fight, but his labelmate blew him off.
“That was the last time I saw my n-gga alive,” he said.
They were all plants Tupac was a fraud from Baltimore pretending to be a gangster from California and was gay he had mostly white friends and the Queen Latifah story should wake you up about him going to gay bars. Snoop is a plant too Eazy-E exposed that no way he survived getting jumped in and other crops don’t know him. The 90’s rap era had a ton of these frauds and freaks not just Diddy and yeah Biggie had weird moments with Diddy too. Dre is gay, LL is gay, Quincy Jones broke Will in, the real ones all died Big L and Eazy-E. Modern rappers are actually about the life these guys pretended to be on.
STFU you retard. You seem to be the main person obsessed with gay shit. Also you’re not describing Pac but actually yourself. You see everything as gay because you’re gay. You been seeing the world through crooked glasses so long that I don’t think you’ll ever be able to see straight again.
You typed a whole lot of homo stuff in here. I think you might need to come out the closet.
You know you sound stupid right? You’re a plant. Modern rappers are idiots being controlled and tricked into glorifying drugs and murder to our children and it’s just what those higher ups want. For us to keep killing each other and NEVER uniting as a people but hating each other.
But you know firsthand about all these people, right? Gay, straight, thug or not. Rap was never about being a thug but that’s the narrative now and why so many hate the music or genre. They think every rapper is a gangster or drug dealer. If you hustle you are automatically a rapper, just tell your stories of negativity to the kids.
Goofy.
LOL You typed all that and it pretty said nothing.
Blah blah blah blah blah blah rap blah blah blah plant blah blah goofy blah blah gangsta blah blah blah
Auntie Fat Cuz can’t do nothing but gossip behind his cell. Im sure the 2pac cult is gonna enjoy this 🙄 Keeping sticking up for a reckless 25 year old that got himself killed 🤣
TONY DEFF – Too old to be laughing at someone dying.
Where did I laugh at death? You’re just slow and misplaced the context bc for fake outrage. The shoe fits and i know it hurts 😏
TONY DEFF – Used laughing emoji to denote laughing at death. Deflects like a typical female to talk away from their mistake. DEFFinitely raised by a single mom.
Youre slow and lack comprehension. Bitches like you are the cause of all fake outrage on the internet. Bird 🐦
TONY DEFF – Acts like a woman with a superiority complex who thinks their opinion is “fact” over everyone else’s. Keeps deflecting, she wants to have the last word. Pussy 🐱
Auntie Snoop was born disloyal so this isn’t new.
Everybody who was paying attention in the 90’s seen the shit play out . When pac got death row he let the beef and explaining to the media it was about biggie not New York. Soon after snoop took it upon him self to do New York New York and in trying to keep his image as a “tough guy” and mad New York New York. Of course New York answered back. Then snoop had the brilliant idea of doing a video of him kicking the buildings probably hoping security could keep safe. The shooting happened. Not long after that snoops attitude when from idgaf 2 I don’t have a problem with nobody that’s pacs thing, New York New York was his good damn song. So is he saying pac forced him 2 do that song because he has always said that nobody tells him what to do cuz he’s so gangsta. That’s some fake ass shit like is tough guy acthe always does in his post.
*let the beef known
I meant god damn
That song was made way before Pac got to Death Row, like a year earlier, and it was Kurupt’s song. Snoop was just on the hook. Pac had just gotten to Death Row when that song released. I think Dogg Food came out like a month after he got to Death Row on Halloween 1995.
it is all garbage all trash. rap music is just a capitalist plot to sink us all. the puppet masters laugh. time to let go of little kids things. we will never win on here and we will never win with this music. No more pie in the sky. With a collective effort all things are possible.
While I enjoy old-school hiphop, I can’t disagree. It’s very clear that hiphop was popularized and used to both degrade and destroy black culture. Remember very early hiphop? Back then, knowledge was cool. Pronouncing words fully was cool. Sounding like a low IQ idiot wasn’t cool. And this was before it was popularized for the masses, so gangster rap wasn’t really nasty, and it was more about street tales than dirty entertainment. Black artists in the mainstream have become increas8ngly ratchet. I’ll always have respect for the black artists making jazz, blues, and rock in the 50s and on. They were great. Class is cool. I wish pur culture didn’t get so trashy.
Same old touchdown I scored in high-school ass n!qqas🥱🖕
