“You’re nobody ‘till somebody kills you.” While Tupac was certainly a “somebody” while he was alive, his legacy has arguably seen more success since his death. In the last six months of his life Tupac recorded an incredible amount of material, between 350 and 400 songs according to some sources. Since Tupac’s death, ten albums of have been released, compared to the six that he released while he was alive.
Even though he is deceased, Tupac is still making money, enough money to rank him tenth on Forbes Magazine’s Top Ten Dead Celebrity list. Tupac earned $7 million dollars last year which contributes to the $40 million that his estate has accumulated since 1998.
There one more double CD that is coming out on Tha Row, reported to be out late this year. In addition to albums, there have also been several DVD’s and documentaries that have sold very well. In case you are wondering, Elvis was number one on the list with $37 million in earnings last year.
