2Pac & DMX ‘Mind-Blowing’ AI Link-Up Stuns Fans: ‘Legends Never Die’

2Pac and DMX have posthumously come together thanks to AI, and fans online are going crazy about just how good the fake collab sounds.

Posted by YouTuber dopfunk on Sunday (August 6), “Facing Death” finds the late legends coming together to eerily reference their own demise.

I’m gone but I will never be forgotten/ Was talkin’ about death ’cause I knew n-ggas was plotting,” the AI 2Pac raps. “So I came back, only to haunt these n-ggas/ Snakes will slither/ It don’t matter who pulled the trigger!

“And in due time, you’ll find out for yourself who you be,” the AI DMX spits. “Ain’t no riches that will help you in hell when you meet/ Your maker/ He’ll break you down and analyze what you did in your life/ N-gga, everybody has to die.”

    Listen to the track below:

In the comments, fans were astounded and how real the fake song sounded. “Honestly this is mind blowing!!!” one person wrote. “This is Tupac rapping and I don’t care what anyone says. The best remix I’ve ever heard!!!”

Someone else said: “Legends will never die,” while a third added: “Damn this shit is crazy how legit this sounds. It gives me chills and take me back to when I was a kid.”

“It’s too much for my Brain!!!!!!!! 2pac ft DMX I cant believe it,” another person commented.

Not everyone is on board with the new AI technology. Last month, Ice Cube spoke out against the trend and its implications regarding creativity.

During an interview with Piers Morgan, the former N.W.A. rapper was asked about artificial intelligence and how it is now being used to replicate styles and personalities without any human touch. Cube, without skipping a beat, expressed that he is entirely against the concept.

“I think it’s terrible,” he said. “I think it’s gon’ make people lazier, less creative.”

Ice Cube further illustrated his point by drawing a parallel with on-screen acting, adding: “Could you imagine if I decided not to do a sequel and the movie company said: ‘We have the rights to your likeness. We gon’ put you in this sequel whether you want to be or not ’cause we have the right to.’

“So now they use AI to put Ice Cube in a movie I don’t want to be in, saying things I don’t wanna say and doin’ thing I wouldn’t do, so to me, that’s terrible … or taking an artist that’s passed away and having him do a new song with lyrics that they may not agree with — it’s a slippery slope that will hurt us more than it will help us.”

    1. I get ai is getting crazy now but this really is another. How is it matching the cadence and emphasis 2pac has? I want to see how this is made.

      1. Have someone rap in his cadence. Think Krazy from nolimit or blac haze from back in the day. The a.i voice does the rest.

    2. It’s not 2Pac rapping and not his lyrics. Only thing important. I respect it as being sort of a tribute to him or inspired by him, but nothing more.

    3. It’s not 2Pac rapping and not his lyrics. Only thing important. I respect it as being sort of a tribute to him or inspired by him, but nothing more.

      1. Don’t be scared no body will run after this brillant arts from yours. I propose you Work with Swizz beatz and Defjam for DMX s legacy continuously

    4. It’s not 2Pac rapping and not his lyrics. Only thing important. I respect it as being sort of a tribute to him or inspired by him, but nothing more.

    5. When ppl say “legends never die” and condone pitting words in their mouths theu didn’t choose to speak, it’s so wrong. Let them rest. Doing AI of a dead person is really lame. Soon they’re gonna have a Tupac version of Alabam N!##@ from Johnny Rebel. Not cool.

    6. It’s wack and harmful. It has nothing to do with Pac or DMX. Moreover it has nothing to do with art. Why don’t you so-called journalists have the same enthusiasm when it comes to writing about new releases (by actual MCs), reviews or spreading knowledge?

    7. Between A.I and corporations buying up masters. Your kids, kids won’t be able to distinguish the real from the fake.
