2Pac’s Brother Mopreme Shakur Doesn’t Believe Diddy Is Innocent In Rapper’s Murder

2Pac‘s brother Mopreme Shakur has cast doubt on Diddy‘s long-standing assertion that he had no involvement in 2Pac‘s murder.

Appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Mopreme was asked about the decades-old rumors linking the Bad Boy boss to the 1996 shooting that claimed ‘Pac’s life, citing a controversial 2008 Los Angeles Times article that was later retracted, as well as comments from 50 Cent and Eminem.

Morgan read out Diddy’s statement to the outlet denying the allegations (“The story is a lie. Neither I nor [The Notorious B.I.G.] had any knowledge of any attack on 2Pac before, during or after it happened”) before asking Mopreme: “Do you think that was an honest statement?”

“My opinion is that I don’t believe it was an a hundred percent honest statement,” Shakur replied.

When asked more directly if he thinks Diddy was lying when he made that statement, 2Pac’s sibling said: “Quite possibly. It’s kinda looking that way, in my opinion.”

Mopreme also recalled a phone conversation he had with the Harlem-bred mogul following the publication of the L.A. Times article.

“He called me and I had Thug Life guys with me and we heard what he had to say. He basically said he ain’t have nothing to do with my brother’s murder,” he explained.

“I told him the truth has still yet to come out so we’re gonna see. Here we are, 28 years later, it looks like there’s some doubt in that statement.”

The rumors of Diddy’s alleged involvement in 2Pac’s death largely stem from comments made by Duane “Keefe D” Davis, the former Compton Crip who last year became the first suspect charged with the late rapper’s long-unsolved murder.

During a 2008 police interview that he believed would grant him immunity from prosecution, Davis told detectives that Puffy offered him $1 million to kill both ‘Pac and Suge Knight during the Bad Boy-Death Row beef in the mid ’90s.

According to a recent filing in the murder case, Keefe was asked during that conversation if Diddy “play[ed] a role in this thing?” to which he replied: “Yeah, I think he did.”

In a separate YouTube interview, Keefe claimed that Diddy even reached out to him after the shooting wondering if the South Side Crips were responsible for ‘Pac’s death by asking: “Is that us?”

The accused killer has further claimed that following the murder, Diddy paid half of the agreed sum to an associate named Eric “Von Zip” Martin, who allegedly kept the money for himself.

After Keefe’s police interview was made public by the L.A. Weekly in 2011, Diddy denied his claims and told the outlet that his story was “pure fiction and completely ridiculous.”

It was reported earlier this year that 2Pac’s family have hired a team of investigators and high-powered lawyers to determine whether the embattled mogul was involved in the rapper’s murder.

    1. People want diddy and suge to be involved in the pac/biggie murders so bad. Then truth is they wasnt. It was gang members acting on their own. Pac got into an altercation before the shooting, and biggie was just being dumb for going to the west and some crew did him in.

      1. What you say is true, but that doesn’t mean that Puffy didn’t have the intention to have pac and suge killed. It possible he offered keefe the money but then he was killed for a completely different reason and puffy didn’t have to pay. Sure ain’t had nothing to do with pacs murder, to my knowledge he had nothing to with biggies murder either.
