2Pac‘s murder suspect Keefe D allegedly went undercover in an attempt to implicate Diddy in the death of the rap legend.
In a legal filing obtained by The Sun ahead of Keefe’s trial later this year, prosecutors claim that the former Compton crip flew to New York with LAPD detectives in 2009 as part of a plan to obtain evidence against the Bad Boy mogul and Harlem gangster Eric “Von Zip” Martin.

Keefe claimed in a police interview months earlier that Diddy had offered him $1 million to kill both Suge Knight and 2Pac at the height of Bad Boy’s beef with Death Row Records in the mid 1990s, and paid half the money to Martin after ‘Pac’s 1996 murder.
Prosecutors say that Keefe became an “active confidential informant” for the task force initially set up to investigate Biggie‘s murder after he was caught trafficking a large amount of drugs.

The 179-page document states that the former gang member, along with officers from the task force, flew to NYC in a bid to “corroborate the conspiracy” to kill 2Pac.
Keefe, “acting in an undercover capacity,” allegedly ran into Martin and his nephew on the street as he approached his workplace, and got into a car with the pair before driving away to visit Martin’s sister.

“After returning, [Keefe D] tried to enlist Mr. Martin in an effort to traffic narcotics,” the documents read. “Mr. Martin indicated he was out of the business but directed him to conduct his drug activities with the nephew.”
Diddy is named a total of 77 times in the legal filing, including in a transcript of Keefe D’s aforementioned interview in which he accused the mogul of putting a bounty on 2Pac and Suge Knight’s heads.
Keefe was asked by cops during that conversation if Puffy “play[ed] a role in this thing?” to which he replied: “Yeah, I think he did.”
Diddy is also mentioned in a summary of a YouTube interview where Keefe claimed that the record executive “reache[d] out to [him] wondering if the South Side Crips were responsible for Shakur’s death by asking, ‘Is that us?'”

“[Keefe], beaming with pride, answer[ed], ‘Yes,'” the document continues.
Prosecutors made the filing as part of an attempt to deny Keefe D’s bail. It is not yet known if Diddy, who is facing a string of unrelated sexual assault allegations, will be subpoenaed or indicted as part of the 2Pac murder case.
The 54-year-old previously denied any involvement in the killing, telling L.A. Weekly in 2011 that Keefe D’s story was “pure fiction and completely ridiculous.”
Keefe previously had his bail request denied after the judge was concerned that music manager and media personality Wack 100 paid the $750,000 in exchange for an interview.

Keefe, who has been diagnosed with cancer, is the only person to ever be charged with ‘Pac’s murder in Las Vegas over two and a half decades ago.
Despite pleading not guilty, he has admitted multiple times that he was involved in the shooting, most notably in his 2019 book Compton Street Legend.

However, Keefe D has since claimed that he was not being truthful when making statements about his role in the death of the rap icon.
