On Da Spot Freestyles (Team Invasion) [click to listen]

Do
you guys remember
the old Clue days where people would come through the studio and kick
an exclusive freestyle you couldn’t wait to hear on the new mixtape?
What happened to those days? Green Lantern is trying to bring
it back to the essence with On Da Spot Freestyles featuring people who
stopped through The Invasion Radio Show on Sirius. From the first
track to the last, there is a mixture of dopeness and some hit and
misses.
Styles P, Uncle Murda, Freeway and Beanie Sigel all go in on their
first and second go around and listening to
Wyclef‘s freestyle makes you appreciate his uniqueness. Fabolous ethers
Jay-Z‘s “Kingdom Come” and Joe Budden spazzes on his the freestyle he
kicked.
Everyone from Kardinall Offishall, Joell Ortiz, Saigon, Termanology all
hold their own. This tape brings it back to the essence of mixtapes.
That’s if you grew up with them that is…..the game is so much
different now.
