MISTA is on a roll.
Less than a week after releasing the stirring “OBLIGADO” (Required), the Filipino rapper teams up with JMara anew to deliver “PAMANA” (Inheritance).
The DJ Medmessiah-produced song tackles MISTA’s version of contentment: being able to prove himself worthy of his loved one’s sacrifices, grappling with the lifelong effects of growing up in a far-from-“ideal” family environment—which also means having to confront anger and abandonment.

JMara offers a pained, idealized sentiment in the hook, “Sa panaginip na lamang tayo buo / Ayoko nang gumising sa basag na totoo / Ilusyon man ito / Para sa akin totoo.” (It’s only in dreams we are whole / I don’t want to wake up to a broken truth / Even if it’s an illusion / For me, it’s real).
The prolific label has released four official singles since the beginning of the year, including “BILOG” (Circle) by H20 Klann, “Wit Tha Funk” by Miss A ft. Fateeha, and most recently, “OBLIGADO.”
