BIG Naughty – “STAB” ft. eaJ (of Day6)

South Korean rapper BIG Naughty deals with academic pressure in the visual for his latest single, “STAB,” featuring eaJ.

The bilingual track also alludes to attempts of dealing with disappointment, whether in relationships or just life in general. “I want you to stab / Right in my leg / Don’t let me go back /Again to you,” BIG Naughty sings in the chorus. The H1GHR Music artist and Show Me The Money alum drives his point home with, “Pain becomes soil / And on top of shaking roots / Flowers will bloom / The flowers will pave the path.”

According to local pop blog Allkpop, the track was also released the same day as Korea’s College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) day.

Filipino rappers GVNDVLXCXXX$ and YVNG PE$O of Maharlika De Calibre label host a drinking party in “OH SHIT.”

The beat was produced by long-time collaborator PROD.LUCASDEE, who also worked with GVNDVLXCXXX$ in their surprise EP, PARA MANAHIMIK KA NA (So You Can Shut Up), which they released earlier this year.


SARAN – “ไม่คิดถึงฉันไม่คิดถึงเธอ”

SARAN takes a break from his trap-heavy singles in favor of a long-take freestyle titled “ไม่คิดถึงฉันไม่คิดถึงเธอ” (Ain’t missing me, Ain’t missing you).

According to local rap outlet HIP-HOP CULTURE TH, the track is about missing an old flame. “ไม่คิดถึงฉันไม่คิดถึงเธอ” is part of the wildly productive rapper’s latest solo EP, Batman Begin.

MAIYARAP – “เลิกพูด”

Thai rapper MAIYARAP hilariously attempts to get over a breakup in the music video for the SPATCHIES-produced“เลิกพูด”(Quit Talking).

The YUPP! label artist and his friends go to a KTV bar only to end up being reminded more of his pain.

Guddhist Gunatita ft. Polo Pi & LUCI J – “KAHIT NAHIHIRAPAN”

Filipino rapper Guddhist Gunatita enlists fellow 1096 Gang members Polo Pi and LUCI J in his latest single, “KAHIT NAHIHIRAPAN” (translates to ‘Even Though It’s Hard’).

The accompanying MKGM-directed visual sees the trio dressed up as a lion, giraffe, and cow as they dance their worries away—with Polo Pi suggesting they upload a video on TikTok.

Coincidentally, the three, along with fellow members Youngwi$e and Ghetto Gecko, shot to fame with their 2020 breakout hit, “Pajama Gang” cypher, which went viral on TikTok, and currently has nearly 60 million views on YouTube.

MADD POETS, Chinese Mafia, Owfuck – “Lahing Maangas” with DJ Trigga and DJ Vance

Old meets new in the massive collaborative posse track “Lahing Maangas” (loosely translates to ‘Proud Race’) via Def Jam Philippines.

Members of legendary hip hop groups MADD POETS (Qwaizy Illeon, Lowkey da Boy Wander, Jaime Labrador, and the late D-Coy in his first posthumous appearance) and Chinese Mafia (Banong Bagseki, Chiniga, and Jay Flava) team up with rap trio Owfuck (Astro, Lexus, and Paul Cassimir) to assert their place in Pinoy hip hop, with each MC getting their turn in the 7-minute spectacle helmed by DJs Trigga and Vance.
