Finalists for the 2021 Awit Awards are out!

The Filipino awards show aims to honor standouts in contemporary Philippine music across all genres. The Awit Awards have been held annually since 1969 to recognize outstanding achievements in the Filipino music industry, with nominees chosen by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry.

Singer-rapper Quest was nominated for the second consecutive year under the Best Inspirational Recording for his track “Tuloy Tuloy” (On and On)—he won last year for his track, “Begin Again”—while 2020 Favorite Breakthrough Artist of the Year P-pop group SB19, who have recently made a sharp turn for a hip-hop heavy sound with their recent releases, were nominated for Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist.

Jason Dhakal and producer crwn were nominated for Best World Music Recording for their track “XX:XX” and fellow producer Moophs was nominated under Best Musical Arrangement, under the Technical Achivement Awards category for his track “Always.”
