Japanese rapper Shurkn Pap and Island State Music label went for a dramatic flair in their latest collaborative single, “Haddaway,” out today, September 1.

Island State Music and the MaisonDe crew member teased the news on August 25, sharing the track’s personnel.

“Haddaway” comes after Shurkn Pap’s latest 10-track album, NEW ERA, released on July 2. It included features from fellow MaisonDe members, tofu beats, Kzyboost, and Taiyoh. The rapper has been keeping busy and is currently gearing up for the final leg of his album tour on September 23, which features performances from ¥ellow Bucks, Jinmenusagi, Gottz & MUD, and more.

Island State Music is a Japanese label founded in 2019 by Kosuke Harada. Shurkn Pap was the first artist to release his 22-track album The Me under the label. At the same time, he also released a music video for “New Classic” from the same album.
