PANTHEPACK – “BUZZ”

Chinese hip hop supergroup PANTHEPACK drops their third single, “BUZZ,” today. Comprised by GOT7 rap star Jackson Wang, Chinese-American singer-songwriter Karencici, Taiwanese rapper-producer J.Sheon, and Chinese hip hop artist ICE, PANTHEPACK debuted in April but initially didn’t reveal the members until this Wednesday (August 25). The group is the first signee under Jackson Wang’s newly founded label, Team Wang.

Sica – “So What?”

Filipino rapper Sica returns with a mellowed-out single, “So What?” He announced the new single earlier this week, which was produced by Cozy. He also shared his current state of mind, specifically towards music-making. He tweeted, “im at the point of my career where im just havin fun again. i forgot to have fun when this shit felt like it was work, i started chasin shit i dont truly understand. now i just wanna make music that pleases my soul and my heart, just like a kid again.”

SHNTI – “Cocoon”

Filipina ‘femcee’ SHNTI embraces her alone time in latest single, “Cocoon.” The independent release follows news of SHNTI’s signing with the newly founded Lightning in a Bottle Studios (LIAB Studios). “Cocoon” arrives a few days after the release of the remastered version of her debut track, “GOODIE GOODIE,” by labelmate Calix, who produced “Free,” her contribution to the 2021 advocacy record, Pasya.

RINGGIT MOB (BOOMIT & YUNG FLEX) – “你的Dior”

Malaysian hip hop group RINGGIT MOB drops “你的Dior (Your Dior),” featuring members BOOMIT and Yung Flex. The track serves as the lead single off their latest self-titled album and tackles the pros and cons of a relationship. Referring to the luxury brand, the group said, “I use the word ‘Dior’ because [it] is a symbol of luxury and fashion. When we fall in love with a girl, we want to treat her wholeheartedly and give her the best and most expensive ‘things]” and that it doesn’t mean it’s a shallow measure of love but a gesture to show that they are involved in the relationship. — AK

RIGHT & HIPZ – “ĐỪNG NỔI CÁU VỚI ANH”

Vietnamese rapper RIGHT teams up with HIPZ for latest track, “ĐỪNG NỔI CÁU VỚI ANH” (Don’t Mess With Me). This is RIGHT’S second single from his latest EP Tony Choi Vol.1, which features playful lyrics and a catchy beat. The music video will premiere at 8PM, Hong Kong time. — AK
