South Korean hip hop artist Zior Park shares the gothic horror music video for “Black Fin” off his debut album, SYNDROMEZ, which is the namesake of his hip hop crew and was released via Beautiful Noise.
The Tim Burton-inspired video shows Zior Park surrounded by “sharks” and had to sign a contract to be “saved from danger.” “I’m a pied piper, I think I brought them,” he raps in English. He’s also not mincing his words: “Fuck this town, they never recognize / No prophet is accepted in his hometown.”
The track dropped alongside the album release, which includes pre-album release single, “HOMEBIRD.”
A self-confessed Willy Wonka fan, the rapper also told Korean magazine Arena that as a child, his father put Tim Burton’s 1993 film, The Nightmare Before Christmas on during the holidays, which developed his love for videos that “stimulate childhood and fear at the same time.”
