FELIP goes around the streets of Japan in the stylish new visual for “Straydogs,” which premiered today (January 10).

Similar to the slick aesthetic of his first EP single, “Rocksta,” FELIP shows off his affinity for fashion (he launched his own streetwear brand, SUPERIOR SON, in 2021) in his latest music video, namechecking luxury brands like Gucci and Prada while walking around Tokyo.

The English-language cut is the title track of his newly released solo debut COM•PLEX EP, which was written and co-produced by FELIP. The titular stray dogs refer to naysayers that FELIP urges listeners to tune out. “Whatever people throw at you and whenever STRAYDOGS would bark, do not be affected by it.”

In “Straydogs,” FELIP indirectly refers to himself as a “low flow man.” In our exclusive interview with the Filipino hip hop artist, he shared his approach with his vocal styles in the EP. “Talagang experimental lang pagdating sa voice ko din. People know na malalim yung boses ko, hindi nila alam na kaya ko palang—” then proceeds to hit a falsetto riff for us. (I’m really experimental with my voice as well. People know that I have a deep voice, and they didn’t know [he can hit a falsetto]).

“Straydogs” is the second single off COM•PLEX, which was released on February 3 via Warner Music Philippines.
