FELIP’s rap superstar era continues.
The Filipino artist and HipHopDX Asia’s inaugural Artist of the Month premiered a fiery clip of “ROCKSTA.” The release is the first of his “Superior Sessions Live” performances shot during an exclusive listening party of COM•PLEX, his solo debut EP.
FELIP performed the six-track EP with a live band setup in full for the first time in front of a live audience a few days before its official release in February.

Released earlier this year, “ROCKSTA” was the first single from COM•PLEX, accompanied by a striking black-and-white visual. The grimy, trap number marked a departure from FELIP’s earlier solo singles, showcasing the SB19 rapper’s experimentation with rap and metal genres.
In our exclusive track-by-track EP guide, FELIP said that “’ROCKSTA’ symbolizes the artist leaving “all pretensions at the door as he ushers [in] a new era… Rockstars are known for their no-nonsense attitude and a laser-kind of focus and control on the music they create.”
